  1. Doesn't sound like a democracy when you can't see all the cultural events the city has to offer!!
  2. Not to worry old friend. BTW it is your eyes going bad, not the wine! As a very wise but drunken friend once said to me "It goes along like this for a while.......and then it gets worse!!!" I think you know the friend I am talking about too! .
  3. Nice looking Renegade front and center!!
  4. DIESEL at the QR Western Chapter meeting in Clova.
  5. I recognized the pictures taken from the tower above 8 Mile Lake before you said that is where it was, and also recxognized the big water holes before the camp pics. Looks like you may have to trim some more branches this year to get the Avalanche in! LOL
  6. I don't want to sound like an old man, but I would hope this idea is all off trail racing. There are too many Blair Morgan wanna-be's on the trails now! I don't want to meet any more sledders on groomed trails going balls to the wall, on the edge of control, on the corners in the Chibougimau or Lac St Jean areas! Groomed trails are not there for a cross country races. Hopefully plans for this would be laid out on ungroomed forestry roads.
  7. Won't be CHANGING!!!! OMG!! You have to drive it first! Don't remember seeing you at the Gathering!?!? See you in Franconia Buddy!
  8. Well since everyone is confessing.....I started sledding in 1969, on a 1967 Snow Cruiser (a little bit faster than a D6, but just as heavy!!). Now that is not as bad as a Polaris but since everyone was confessing.
  9. Your a funny Guy aren't you!!! I wasn't bad enough everyone had to take pictures before coming to help, but now you are reminding them!! No Fools, No Fun!
  10. I am making plans for a return visit to Franconia this year as well.
  11. Tell Lisa she has to prove herself on the old one before she gets a new one. She has to show she can keep your old sled out of the, willy wacks, tucker brush, and the new growth first!!
  12. The 1200 Renegade I have been running the last two winters has treated me very well, I don't think you will be dissappointed.
  13. Are you sure Bill?? You sure look younger than Groomer!! Happy Birthday Buddy!
  14. You and I had drinks with the owners in the orange camp!!
  15. Thanks Jean Guy for all you have done to help over the years. You are true Embassador to the Gaspesie, snowmobiling in Quebec, and luckily I can say a good friend! See you in the next couple weeks, don't drink all the wine yet!
  16. Is the TLH something like the TLR???
  17. My vote is certianly for the 144". I have had two Arctic Cats with 144", however the last two winters I have been running a 137" 1200 Renegade. I believe after a long day of riding the 144" is better on an old back (we are about the same vintage), even on groomed trails. That said the Yamaha fuel range is terrible with such a small tank. My Renegade I can easily go 120 miles with any worries, and have gone 140 miles and had 4 liters left. You appear to be a Yamaha fan so no slam intened at all, just a comparison. I think your best bet would be the 144" and a pre-studded track (less wieght).
  18. Just think about the children when you go through the Res on the way home!!
  19. Good Stuff!! Our very own QuebecRider reporter right at the starting line. Keep us updated. Anything left from the Res??
  20. I started off strong and then the second half of the season fell apart for me. 4100 miles or 6598 kilometers. Everyone always hopes for better. Congrats Bill on another year of 10,000 miles.
  21. I have the mechanical reverse on mine and had the handle broke where it hooks to the linkage. There was likely 9500 miles on the sled at that point, so it had been used many times.
  22. Sounds like it was a great trip and good pictures.
  23. Thanks for sharing a good reality check. Good Luck to your friends.
