Continued....those who ride will respect the hours of switchbacks the western mountains provide....99.9% of the people outside of Jackson Hole & the Tetons were PATRIOTIC...Sadly the far west state theory has crept into J.H. & Teton Village. 
4 days- 3600 miles R/T w/ truck & trailer from NY to Sturgis SD.  2580 miles on the bike -in 12 days - SD, WY, MT & back to trailer & truck in SD.

Recently returned from a sixteen-day MC road trip. We fled Southeast NY on June 1destined for Sturgis SD, pulling the trailer. After arriving we separated from the truck & trailer & hugged the road on two wheels burning fuel in South Dakota, Cody Wyoming, Jackson Hole Wyoming, Teton Village, West Yellowstone & Red Lodge Montana. After departing W Yellowstone we traveled to Red Lodge Montana by means of the Bear Tooth Highway. After departing R.L. Montana we reversed our direction traveling again over the Bear Tooth where we accessed the Chief Joseph Highway returning to Cody for another night, as we found Cody to be most enjoyable earlier in the week. This past winter I snowmobiled the Millinocket, Maine area and fell in love with the region for its huge wilderness,  beautiful rivers and lakes, and feeling of remoteness once out of town.  I wanted to scout around for future longer trips to the area in summer and fall . I again landed at Baxter Park Inn. Owner Tim is very thankful for the QuebecRiders who stayed here last winter and sends a hello  to all..
Yesterday I did the new Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument. This area was a bust, not worth the gas.
Today was an early start up the Golden Road and along the West Branch of the Penobscot River.  The Golden Road is Maine's most historic lumber road and traverses towards Moosehead Lake with other side roads going to such places as Ashland. and up near the Allagash. There are historic dams along the way, many small and large wilderness lakes, lots of fisherman doing their fly fishing and lots of white water rafters and kayakers shooting the rapids.
Later in the day I discovered bicycle/hiking paths along the East Branch of the Penobscott.  A wealthy out of stater bought this land, made the paths, built a visitor center and opened it for the public. It is truly a great gift of several miles of beauty.
The old machine that is pictured had something to do with logging and pulling cables across the West Branch.  Maybe Steven can chime in. (Maybe he used to operate it back in the 1940's).

Well we have broken free of the Covid Strangle Hold. This was difficult for my wife. She has not gone anywhere and I needed to ease her into the "Real World" again.
So off to Maine!! It was a great time! Kennebunkport was quiet enough, York Harbor very peaceful, Ogunquit .... Crazy!! Just kept going!!
 
The biggest take away... Please be patient and a little more Human with Hotel\Resort, Restaurant Staff, Store\Shop Keepers, etc....
They are all struggling, staff all looked very green, processes are new and changing by the day, if you feel out sorts think of them.
And for God ( or Gods or No-Gods or ....) sake get outside and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.

I;ve heard JD has sprung him from the Hospital!!! And they are back at the House in Maine.
She said he's got chores to do, and her hair appointment is later today and someone has to watch Pepper...

Thanks for the kind remarks but we did not ride this year.  I did get a new sled which has 0 miles on it.  We were going to do Maine but decided against it with the Covid quarantine coming back into CT.  We still haven't retired and I didn't want to keep the store closed for that long.  Sooooo looking forward to next year.  Thanks to all who posted pictures and let us ride vicariously thru them.

About 1200 for me, all North Central PA.  A blessing to have a winter there that we haven't seen for 25+ years, but surely missed Quebec.  Here's hoping 2022 won't be such a shit show.

Quick up date,  just had a  message from JD . Bill is now been moved into the surgical ward he is still on oxygen but is making good progress and getting out of bed .She is hoping they will let him out of hospital for this next weekend .  So fingers crossed 👍
Great  news  we've  just heard Bill should be discharged some time today....    so let's hope  so 🤞🤞🤞

Quick up date,  just had a  message from JD . Bill is now been moved into the surgical ward he is still on oxygen but is making good progress and getting out of bed .She is hoping they will let him out of hospital for this next weekend .  So fingers crossed 👍
