WASHINGTON (AP) — No fingerprints or DNA turned up on the baggie of cocaine found in a lobby at the White House last week despite a sophisticated FBI crime lab analysis, and surveillance footage of the area didn’t identify a suspect, according to a summary of the Secret Service investigation obtained by The Associated Press. There are no leads on who brought the drugs into the building.

Tourist walked into a Chinese curio shop in San Francisco.

While looking around at the exotic merchandise, he noticed a very lifelike, life-sized,

bronze statue of a rat. It had no price tag, but was so incredibly striking the tourist

decided he must have it. He took it to the old shop owner and asked, "How much for

    the bronze rat?”

"Ahhh, you have chosen wisely!   It is $12 for the rat and $100 for the story," said

    the wise old Chinaman.

The tourist quickly pulled out twelve dollars and handed it to the shop owner.  "I'll

just take the rat, you can keep the story.”

As he walked down the street carrying his bronze rat, the tourist noticed that a few

real rats had crawled out of the alleys and sewers and had begun following him

down the street. This was a bit disconcerting so he began walking a bit faster.

A couple blocks later he looked behind him and saw to his horror the herd of rats

behind him had grown to hundreds, and they began squealing.

Sweating now, the tourist began to trot toward San Francisco Bay.

Again, after a couple blocks, he looked around only to discover that the rats now

numbered in the MILLIONS, and were squealing and coming toward him faster

    and faster.

Terrified, he ran to the edge of the Bay and threw the bronze rat as far as he could

    into the Bay.

Amazingly, the millions of rats all jumped into the Bay after the bronze rat and

    were all drowned.

The man walked back to the curio shop in Chinatown. "Ahhh," said the owner,

    "You come back for story?”

"No sir," said the man. "I came back to see if you have a bronze Democrat.”

Wow......😬 I have a 2021 Yamacat Viper. Previous sled was a 2014 Venture. Same 1049 motor which I like. I bought the Viper after the 2021 season. I have ridden it for two seasons. This past season I had a cat problem with it, The thumb warmer quit working which threw a code, and prevented my odometer from displaying while riding. Local dealer here in the states fixed  it for around $400 as I recall..🙄Not sure what I will do next. Probably try to run this thing a few more seasons, and see if the riding season continues to shrink. I will be 61 years old for the upcoming season. I had hoped to ride into my seventies. I certainly enjoy riding in Quebec, and have done a fair amount of it over the years. However the cost of the sleds seems to me to have far surpassed the inflation rate, and reliability doesn't seem great either. All this combined with the shrinking riding season and cost of fuel etc makes it discouraging. I wish Honda made a snowmobile. I put 221k miles on my last Goldwing. By far the most reliable and fun vehicle of any kind I have ever owned. Anyhow, I am still looking forward to winter. I registered my sled on July 1st... 😀

I was finally able to get out in the bush after postponing due to the fires. Left Saturday morning from Marineau’s and headed to Windigo via Repos and Kanawata.  First time at Windigo for me, definitely will return.  I said hi to Martine & Daniel from the QR gang.  We washed off the dust in the reservoir out front, a nice treat on a warm sunny afternoon.  Sunday morning back to the truck via Relais 22 and La Tuque.  The game warden checked for ZEC registrations in the Chapeau de Paille.  He was not wearing a straw hat…😂 use google translate if you don’t get the joke.
Here are the stats and pictures.
Day 1: 225 miles, avg moving speed 34MPH. Total time 10 hours.
Day 2: 252 miles, avg 34MPH. Total time 9 hours.

My moving average was an all time high, I would say 25mph moving average is the norm. The numbers are a little misleading because that area uses a lot of high quality logging road.  You can definitely cover way more ground on a sled.  We were surprised by how little traffic we met, a fraction of what the sled traffic is.  The game warden was sitting at the intersection of 360 & M20.  Yes the dust is serious.  I am fortunate because I am the trip coordinator and know what way we are headed so I get to lead.  The dust levels depend on moisture and soil type. (stone vs sand, morning vs afternoon) The trick is to let one personal go, wait a minute or two, then follow.  If you want to see tail lights at all times, then you will be filthy by days end.  No doubt about it.
