  1. Keep in mind that if marijuana is legal in the state you are coming from or going to, the border is federal, not state. It is still illegal in the US.
  2. It is basically what the FBI has on you. I got asked about something that happened years back in the 70's. I was amazed, but also truthful. If they ask you a question tell them the truth to the best of your ability. You can say that it was a long time ago, and you may not remember all the details, and they will likely be OK with that. Just tell them the truth, they already know the answer. After my question from the 70's, I had a friend in law enforcement run my FBI check, sure enough, it was there.
  3. As soon as they scan that passport or enhanced license, they know a lot about you.
  4. Last year on the rail bed section the trail was routed off the rail bed for what seemed about 50% of it. It was actually better that way. The bed gets a little monotonous after about an hour...and it always seems like the coldest day of the trip coincides with it. It may be different this winter and your back on it. I think it depends on the location of forestry work.

  6. Drinks and Dinner, no one rides for free! Of course there were other versions back in the 70's, but this is a family friendly site.
  7. Give this place a try. It’s inland from the Cap Chat area. VILLAGE GRANDE NATURE CHIC-CHOCS
  8. Gutz - same size O2 as you wore with the BV2S, or did you go a size bigger?
  9. Ski Doo's are all 1 ply nowadays. Our group over the years has moved to the pre-studded ripsaws (ice rippers). The only reason is to make the sleds less prone to a failure while in Quebec. Do they hook like a studded track, no way, but as long as the rear bumper passing my skis is not mine, I'm OK with it. No issues in 8 years of not being able to get up an icy hill. Jack - take a look at the ice attack tracks. A little deeper lug that is pre-studded.
  10. From 100 Lacs to Clova is 119 miles. If you don't feel comfortable with that, you could go up to Parent to top off. 68 miles from 100 Lacs to Parent. Then Parent to Clova - 66 miles. Clova to Lac Faillon is 101 miles. Another option would be to drop down to Fer-a-Cheval too top off and then go on to Clova - 96 miles.
  11. We have stayed there quite a few times in both the rooms and the cabins. Both are nice and clean. Food is excellent. If Real Masse is one of our stopovers, it’s steak all around. Never disappointed. You will enjoy.
  12. X2. It's been a few years but it is a great place. Cabins were brand new. Will need to ride into town for food and drink. When we were there last it was raining heavily. They hung our suits up in their garage and brought our sleds in to dry and gave us a minivan to go to town for dinner and drinks. Highly recommend.
  13. Where are you coming from, and where are you headed to on your last day? There is no place to stay along the north side of the park on 63. You can either stop over in St. Michel des Saints (Motel Central ,Moulin, down to LeCabanon) or press on. It kind of depends on where you are looking to end up the following day.
  14. It couldn't have been much closer. Congrats and on to the next round. Hopefully the next guy doesn't have as many friends!
  15. It seems if you have last years version of the app, it is a free update. I have a two year old version on another device. That is a $2.99 upgrade. Still pretty inexpensive for as useful as the app is. Helped us numerous times and well worth it.
  16. If you have the 2018 iMotoneige app, go to the upper right and click on services, then click on grooming delay. If you don’t have the app you won’t be able to get it right now as it is in development for the 2019 trail updates. It should be available in a few weeks. Keep checking the FCMQ website. It is very useful app for riding in Quebec. Without the app, go to via explora and click on the mobile version. Once in the mobile version, services will be available along with grooming delay. It is also under development and you can’t use the feature just yet. At least I couldn’t prior to this reply. Have a good season.
  17. Our group of 8 will be there on the 2nd of February and again on the 9th. We would love to meet any and all of you. We will also mention that the hotel came on recommendations of fellow QR members.
  18. When do you pack it in out on Grindstone?  We just had breakfast yesterday at the Koffee Kove.
