Left Spence's rode to Scooby Raid for a cup of coffee. On our way to the Truck Stop, John W's 670 lost it's crank. Left him at a restaurant, sas and I headed back to the HI to pickup his truck so we could go back to pickup John W. Mikerider and Gary rode on. All is well, we are back with John W. There are rooms available (15 at 3PM today} but hey will be going quickly. If you have plans to come up next weekend be sure to make reservations. rfm Posted January 25, 2008 Report Share Posted January 25, 2008 Mikerider, John W,sasconst and I rode 205 miles today. We went to St Rose du Nord and interrupted the filming of a movie. We were out on the Saguenay River and were coming back to shore. I got hung up on some big chunks of ice. While trying to get off the ice, my motor was making too much noise while they were trying to film. Guy told me I stopped 50 actors from doing their thing until we got out of there. Some pics from today. Eddie needed some brake work and Bill's friend Real took care of it right away and for a good price. We got on the trail by noon and got in 130 miles for the day. Went to La Hutte. 600IQHO Posted January 28, 2008 Report Share Posted January 28, 2008 I would like to thank everyone on this post for helping to make my first trip to Saguenay almost perfect. most trails were a 10 of 10. Mont Valins may be some of the best trails that I have ever ridden. I did not ride as many miles as I anticipated due to the number of stops and pictures. My first day we spent riding around the eastern half of Lac St Jean. The next two days were spent on Mont Valins, as my camera did not work and I had to go back a second day for pics. Never been anywere that the local trails were so smooth and fast. Sorry Bill I wanted to stop at the HI to meet you and I never got there. Myself and Scott rode Sunday up to Milot. Had lunch at the truck-stop. 216 miles. We rode 6 days and had a great ride everyday with the best trails anywhere. 1,504 miles in 6 days. Never got much above 0 deg the whole week. Started out most mornings about -15F. But the cold kept the trails perfect. Great riding with Bill, Ray, and Eddie. We'll be back up next month, Bruce. This was his first ride of the year, after having hip replacement surgery on Oct 05. I am glad to say he did very well on his new, 07 Turbo Touring Cat. Couple pics of him on it. We saw -29f on the truck thermometer while driving through the park. We did 2,100 miles + or - depending on who's odometer you look at. We had an excellent time. Enjoyed riding with you. Don`t get no better.(sound familiar?) Mikerider thanks for the suspension set-up.TNT was on rails today.18.2 mpg not bad for break-in. I will have a clutch kit before next trip.To harsh a backshift and need more top speed. Scott and Bruce nice meeting you guys sun. night at dinner. Maybe nextime we can ride together.
