Florida Snowman
Beautiful Steve! Nice work. Did you build it yourself? How far from the nearest paved road?
smclelan
I hired a carpenter to put it up weather tight. It is straight, square, and level....three things I couldn't do. Lol. I am doing all the interior. The cabin is about 2.5 km off the pavement.

smclelan
Ray make sure you have the floats on the plane not skis, it is forecast to be +10° here tomorrow! Rrrrrrr! Tom you wanted interior proof, here is a couple shots. When you land we will have a nice view out to the lake. I got the pine put up on the walls Monday, the trim will get done a little later. It is now time to light the fire, enjoy a bottle of vin rouge, and enjoy my view.

Florida Snowman
Looks great Steven! I love knotty pine installed on a 45* angle. We did the same at our lake house throughout the entire place. Satin polyurethane makes it look even better. It goldens with age. We stained all the trimwork in Minwax Dark Walnut and then applied satin polyurethane on that also. Pellet stove or wood burning?
smclelan
Wood. My woodlot the cabin is on is 285 acres, if I burn the blow downs along the road each year I will never be cold.
