Happy summer, all.
On Tuesday, we rode the HD over the Pittsburg/Chartierville border to Lac Mégantic, where we had lunch at a recently opened (June 2026) restaurant called Le Bistro du Lac. Despite the lunch menu being limited to pub grub, it was most enjoyable & spotless. The barmaid explained the menu expands after 5 pm.
We hadn't visited Lac Mégantic in the summer months since 2014, a year after the horrific train derailment. In 2014, based on what we observed, we never believed the town would rise from the ashes, but I'm happy to say it has—no regrets on our most recent visit. Anyone passing through, consider stopping. Best wishes & continued success to each of the residents; a great accomplishment. R.I.P. to all who passed away as a result of the accident.
