BRIDGE CLOSING
We inform you that we have closed the H093-174 bridge for safety reasons.
It is located in a public forest on the territory of the Manicouagan Regional Municipal Council.
We are providing you with the location map of this bridge:
• H093-174: Manicouagan River
Longitude: -68° 19' 49" Latitude: 49° 12' 47"
A capacity report indicates the total load a vehicle can bear on a bridge in a safe manner.
It may also contain recommendations for work to be done to improve the safety of the infrastructure.
For this purpose, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MRNF) has installed two signs indicating "bridge closed" on each side of the bridge.
The Ministry therefore requests that users respect the ban on traveling on this bridge, as well as the signage in place.
We remind you that the MRNF is the manager of roads and bridges in the state's forests.
It is also responsible for displaying the load capacity for bridges that have not been inspected and displayed by the users targeted under Article 116 of the Regulation on Sustainable Forest Management in the state.
When a bridge is dangerous, it is immediately closed to traffic.
Traffic on a closed bridge or with a vehicle whose total load exceeds that displayed near a bridge is prohibited and subject to legal action.
Before undertaking work on a bridge, the developer is invited to contact the responsible management unit of the territory where the bridge is located to determine the nature of the work and obtain the necessary permits if necessary.
