We were able to pass it Saturday when riding from the Dion Moto parking to L'ètape and back. In the morning the trail wasn't closed but when we came back early evening it was. We navigated around the flooding pretty easily though.

In Quebec City you cant tell that we had 10 degrees celsius and rain yesterday. Just woke up and we probably got 20 centimeters of snow overnight. Looks like a winter wonderland from a postcard again.

Rode west of Quebec City on Monday. Excellent early season conditions. There's plenty of snow already but because of the strong winds during the first few storms it was a bit thin on some of the fields. Road TQ3 -> 302 -> 365 -> TQ3.

Moved closer to downtown Quebec City this year and it's impressive to see these big machines clearing the small streets. The amount of snow hauled away in trucks is crazy!

I think they will be back or maybe not. Taking the road was discussed, might not have been a bad idea.....

Looks like a great trip! Makes me want to cross the St Lawrence and try out some new areas. Putting a winter trip to Gaspesie on my bucket list since I've only been there in the summer.

This adventure has been a year in the making. It started last winter when Team Iceman made a run for Havre St Pierre only to be stoppped cold by a big storm and forced back west from Baie Comeau. It was not long after I was contacted by Markusvt and dooright, they said next year we go to Havre St Pierre we will get you there. "Failure is not an option". Alrighty then I'm in.
We kept in touch and the ride with Team VT consisting of Markusvt, dooright, greg-du-vermont and their buddy Dave has been long overdue. The combination of these United Forces of Team Iceman and Team Vt is quite the alliance. Add in the fact that we also have none other than Trailblazer Jean Guy himself and you have the makings of quite a crew of seasoned veterans. Ready for whatever comes our way.
Good thing cause nothing up here comes easy.
This trip has been in the works like i said from last season. mark and I finally narrowed down the dates based on my other commitments and settled on this week.
With the warm and rain at home it was hard to be excited about getting out but the forecast would change for the better.
I tried to get NHmoose in on this run but due to work obligations it was a no go.
Both myself an Trailblazer like so many others have been following RoadRunner's loop here religiously. So when Jean Guy sent me a PM asking when we were leaving for the Route Blanche it was a no brainer. I told him we leave Wednesday for Forestville and beyond, want to go? His response...."does a bear shit in the woods?" Of course.

If you want to come to the Saguenay stay at the Delta. I cam help yout with daily trips of 200 miles per day. Staying at Mont Valin will limit you to daily loops. I stay at the Delta most of the sledding season and know the area very well

Myself and wife Molly left the Roquemont around 8:30 yesterday morning in below zero temps, a very chilly start to the day. Took the 73 to 3 and ran that all the way east to Claremont. All trails had been groomed over night and the riding was near perfect. Lots of ATV activity on the power line trails around Quebec city, but not horrible. Stopped for fuel and lunch in Saint Urbain with 120 miles at 1pm. Jumped back on 3 and kept heading east until 83 broke north, our first run on the Clermont express! Made great time here, but the temps were dropping and you could feel it in the fingers. Broke off on 383 and ran that until the 368 which brought us to La Sagueneenne hotel. The temps are well below zero at just after 6pm, 263 miles for the day. Trails were spectacular overall for the day. Saw 2 cow moose, 1 small bull moose and several deer during the ride. Plan on riding back to St Raymond in the morning with Jack and Sandi. Pics to follow if I can figure that part out...                Terry

Got back from Europe celebrating christmas with the family a week ago and finally had the time to go for the first ride of the season. Oh boy was it fun! We have been blessed with the best start to the winter since I bought my snowmobile two years ago.
Quebec City -> Donnaconna -> Portneuf -> St Raymond -> Quebec City. A total of around 230 km.
Next up is a saddlebag trip to Saguenay in a few weeks!

In Quebec City we have tons of snow already. Best winter so far in the three years I've lived here and another storm passing by tomorrow expected to drop another 30-35 cm of snow in the next two days.
