You are correct sir!....I remember you liked that area a couple of years ago now I think. The first picture is the trail to La Pociatiere and that "pingo" would be seen from hwy 20. Incidentally if you are planning to stay in one of the motels there, make sure this trail is open as the geography does not lend itself well to low snow conditions and it is the only sled trail out of town.  The middle picture is on a main trail south of St Jean Port Joli.

If you like crossing the border, you might consider that the pollution you are spouting here might block you for life as a violation of Canada's criminal code or tie up your travel here for years while a panel or commission made a decision. Here is the "outlet" for your consideration:

    Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
The RCMP does not use the category "hate crime" in any formal way. However, some hate crimes are clearly addressed by the National Security Investigation Sections of the RCMP. Criminal, political or religious extremism, for example, can take a form that most people would recognize as a hate crime.[5]

    for instance in snowmobiling -
brraaap - recognizable sound of revving 2 stroke sled engine.
bleeting - wounded animal sound of those whimperers unable to cross border to the best snowmobiling in the world.

After having given your response some careful consideration, it would seem to me that if you have no faith in the institution that decides the leadership of the world's second largest democracy (United States) or in much of the other of the governmental establishments, then perhaps we north of the border should pay some attention. It would follow that we would not want the taint of this corruption to flow into our country.
Your institutional criminal record keeping being suspect, perhaps much further scrutiny at border crossings is warranted - instead of the usual wave and "have a good time" we should more rigourously investigate any drunk driving, drug dealing, weapons offenses, wife beating, assaults...in fact anything which is equivalent to Canada's criminal code and would therefore prevent entry. For life.
We should also be wary of vehicle registration...are ownerships, insurance, and vehicle condition acceptable to our standards? We can't be sure according to the various registration systems from whence you came....perhaps a stringent search of vehicles and trailers for contraband or weapons "for personal protection" is warranted. You must get that "border security" show down in the U.S.
Should vaccination against covid19 be mandatory for border crossing...how do we really know those confirming certificates are real?
Extrapolating further, as it seems like the majority of anti-maskers, anti-safe distancers, anti-vaxxers, gun toting protesters are registered to vote as Republicans, maybe we ought to start a check list about this affiliation as well...although there are some good ones.
There are those that will start the usual bleeting about the economy being depressed with so many turned away, but we're just fine thanks.

Two feet of snow here...getting ready to ride some back roads. Have a nice (Boxing) day.

There were 81,282,903 votes cast for Biden and 74,223,030 votes cast for Trump. By your way of thinking, your favourite sports team might lose a game 7 to 0, but in your mind, the team that got 0 has won the game. Many Toronto Maple Leafs hockey fans are delusional this way, so it is not uncommon.

We cannot have someone in the white house who won’t play along. Four years he fought for the working people and for what is right and makes sense but we cannot have anything that makes sense in the same sentence as Government.

He never got a chance to really clean things up in the swamp. Too distracted by nonsense bullshit of Russian collusion and  defending himself from the waste of time and money Impeachment. All because he won’t play along with their nonsense proposals like this one.

Say whatever you want I do not care. No way Biden got all those votes legally.

Is what it is now you can bet things will be 100x worse 4 years from now. Buckle up gonna be a rough ride.

Not for Joe cause he could sacrifice a small child on the day he enters office on live TV and the media would deny it happened or Blame Trump or just not report it all. That’s a fact.

The search for snow and open trails for the first ride was very limited this year. Then all the problems with the Pandemic didn’t make it any easier.
We live in Ottawa which is considered a orange zone so if we want to stay together in a condo or cabin it will have to be in a orange zone. Lucky to see Sacre-Lecour is yellow zone and with the new restrictions put in place two days earlier it will be considered a orange zone and the trails are groomed and marked green. Bam book a cabin at 5 Ferm Etoiles for Friday to Monday.
We leave Ottawa all loaded and ready for our eight hour drive at 5am. Great ride up all the way, 640 to bypass mtl, through Quebec City and up to meet the Ferry at Tadoussac.

As we pull up to wait for the Ferry we are stopped by the QPF. Asking us what our intentions are and where did we come from. We are a orange zone traveling to a orange zone. It’s discouraged to travel but can’t stop us, on we go. As we pull up to Sacre-Lecour there is now a road block. Same procedure and questions as before. We arrive at our cabin around 2pm, unpack, get sleds ready and off for a short 100km ride before coming back for dinner.
Leaving the small trial out of Le Ferm 5 is a bit thin but as soon as we get a little farther up the 93, it was snow heaven.

We took the Tq3 to Relais Escoumins, had a snack and beverage and then back to the cabin.
Saturday morning up and adam we are on the snow for 9am, plan is to ride up the 93 to La Chappell, get gas, take the 267 to the Bras Louie and lunch at the out door smoke cookers at Destination Mont Valin. As we were on the 267 we stopped for a break halfway there and some other guys coming from there said the Bras Louie is down to dirt due to logging. We turn around head back to the 93 and head to Des. Mont Valin. Lunch was friggen awesome, sun was out and lots of people.

As we are coming to the ski hill the Fcmq had a trail stop checking for compliance.

After lunch it was back to La Chappell for fuel taking the secondary trail to get there. From there we took the long loop up towards Les Escoumins and back to the cabin. Back to the cabin late, 8pm with just over 380km for the day.
Sunday was going to be a easier day of riding as we were all a bit sore. Sunday we rode to Les Escoumins, a small loop out of there, then Relais Escoumins for a drink and back to the cabin for a total of 220 km.

It was a great trip. Left Monday morning for Ottawa. Hoping for Val-Dor towards the end of January since we still have no snow back home.

While I was wary of Trump after having read "his" book "Art of the Deal"  back in the '80s I respected the courage of Americans to experiment with electing a business person, instead of a politician to office....certainly Clinton did not deserve the walk to the presidency that most folks anticipated. But Trump's obvious character flaws have led to a failure of this experiment and I hope the U.S. can move on to something better. It might take some time I guess.

I'm looking at this as an incentive to visit a region of Quebec that I may not have previously considered...quite a long trip from where I am, but have always wanted to see that bridge!
After all, it is the trails and the clubs that build them that lead to the businesses.

In some ways there may be a silver lining to the border closing...our American friends will re-discover snowmobiling choices in their own country ....we have already seen good information shared about Maine and other areas. Myself, I am on a email feed for Pittsburg Ridge Runners in New Hampshire, and totally impressed with the community effort behind sledding there, would like to get there sometime as well as other areas if and when there is snow.

We did the Cote Nord run last winter. Started in Sacre Coueur, rode to Sept-iles and back.
lf staying in Baie Comeau the La Manoir Hotel is a very good spot to stay. Much nicer than the Travel Lodge.
Sept-lies is a very modern town with newer hotels. We stayed at the Comfort Inn which is on the north side of high way. Good access from the trail. Just had to scoot across a couple of large parking lots to reach the hotel. There is a Best Western is on the south side of the highway. The highway is a very busy four lane didvided road. Not the handiest to get to on sled especially if hadn't had any snow in the past few days.
Gas up at the places already mentioned.
