Very bad, and very sad. What is the location of this place?

This popped on my phone this morning. Hard to believe this North Shore trip in 2005 was 19 years ago.😬 First trip out on my used 2003 Legend 800 long track. It burned to the ground in Les Escoumins. I guess Google didn't figure that was anything I wanted to remember, so I attached the photos from that part of the trip. 😄 I took the bus back to Quebec city where the truck was. My friend had to ride alone back to the truck. He's the one eating the Brownie Eruption, not me.😀

Disconnecting , or completely removing the battery is an option also. I recall in the mid 1990's I stayed at motel Senator in Mont Laurier. All the sleds would be parked bumper to bumper under the canopy at the entrance of the hotel. I was told lone sleds in the parking lot would disappear. They would come by in pickup trucks and grab them with a hook on a rope, drag them out of the lot and toss them in the truck and be gone in seconds.
The problem is definitely not as bad as it was.

Its a crap chute ! Left rig at a motel a few years back In the Levi area motel was called at the time Hotel Berniers. Featured Designated parking illuminated for sled / Atv rigs.
Went out for a week came back and GMC duramax diesel gone trailer left behind. Security cameras all grainy worthless. Truck was facing Motel across street. No one of authority was much interested !
Not uncommon 20-30 years ago. Less of a problem now I think? I still prefer to launch from Northern Maine.

Glad you were able to get out. I had to use my translation app to decipher the toilet cleaning guidance.....😀 Hopefully the weather and trail conditions change in the coming weeks.

I registered my sled 11 days after the summer solstice. Now the daylight is increasing, and snowmobile season is still a ways off....

NEW YORK -- With the winter solstice upon us at 10:27 p.m., Thursday and Friday will be our shortest days of the year.
Sunrise occurred at 7:16 a.m. Thursday and will be at the same time Friday.
The sun will set at 4:31 p.m. Thursday and then at 4:32 p.m. Friday, meaning we only get to enjoy a daylength of 9 hours, 15 minutes and 17 seconds.

👍Where in Maine are you? I am in Berwick. I trailer to the County, then ride into Quebec.

We are tentatively planning a loop through there too. A nice trip for us, ride from Pointe a la Croix to Quebec City, up through Mt Valin then cross at Baie Comeau to Matane and back to the truck. Easy loop.
I would like to do something similar. This stuff gets to be disappointing. On top of the shorter seasons, less fuel and lodging, and increased cost of everything. I am ready to go though! Looking forward to 2024!

This is a different closure?

Post another Let’s Go video when you get back. Still the highest quality QC trail riding clips I have ever watched. Love them. I met the Professor or the Chemist can’t remember which one at Pacini restaurant in Alma years back. I didn’t see you that time.
I thought I recognized the handle Skidoooccio. I enjoy those videos also! It's been a while since a video was posted I believe.

I would bet the truck was disconnected quickly after the theft and the trailer is in a building or tarped. Quite a hiest! Next season parts.
I feel bad for the people who snow checked those sleds.
It looks like all the tracking stuff was indeed disabled.

I recall back in the day, somewhere in the Western part of the province, an older lady and her husband in a Chevette apparently missed the sign with arrows that said:" Skidoos/Autos".
We pushed them out. The lady was driving, I recall her not being pleased with the instructions the husband was providing regarding steering wheel input.
