Thanks for the amazing pictures Iceman!
We should all hope + pray for RAIN to tamp down these fires! Like Steven said, this would be the greatest help.
I read tonight that Clova has been evacuated but so far, no buildings have been lost.

    Hi Mike !
Those were the days ! Glad to see you made it back to RDL this year! I may have to join you next year for a week or two.I have not been up to QC for 4 yrs. I miss it. I drop by QR every now & then. Enjoy reading your posts. Also still follow along with Jack & Sandys posts to see where they are riding. Also followed Jim & Gemmas ride this year. So many good people I have met & rode with up there.

Earlier reports that Clova was left to burn and burning turn out to be untrue as of now
google search “Clova” and “news” about a story from there about an hour ago from CTV news
also just spoke to mon ami Andre and fire is twelve miles away from the camp at the junction we ride in on
says all forest roads are closed until further notice
this SUCKS big time for Quebec and all our friends there

That is sad news.   Definitely a regular stop when sledding the Gaspesie.  Hopefully someone will take it over.  It takes a certian type of person to own and operate a business in a bit of a remote area.  I don't believe it is plowed in to there during winter.  I always stopped there and had a meal or a drink,  it is important to support remote businesses if you want them to survive.

The time has come for all of us , in concert with outfitters , hotels, dealerships, Bombardier, clubs, and private land owners, and FCMQ, to be proactive, and require everyone to ...Take The Pledge....with Bombardier ...as a trail pass requirement...mandatory sled stickers...no pledge sticker...no gas....spelled out plain and clear ...registration revocation and fines...sled seizure...signs at hotels and stops like Repo, etc. If we don't get proactive...we all know where this is going...and reactive isn't a place we want to be...the weather is already numbering our days...we can control everything but the weather..AND TRAIL ACCESS. Ride off trail in designated areas..or be gone. If we aren't going to be proactive and sit around complaining... we will not have much of a voice when the powers to be do sit down...and we will not like the conversation on that day. We all have a lot at stake here...this is our recreation...but for many it's their livelihood...we have 3300 members here alone...it's a good place to start...look how many stickers iceman was able to distribute playing around... we need to be on front of this now...before it's too late...and that day is coming if we do nothing...my 2 cents worth, happy trails, Bob.

The trails are as good as Jack and Sandi reported.  Good to be back in Quebec and enjoying all its culture.
I saw Saguenay Bill today at the club house with the two arches (Les Chevelliers). He looks great and still as sharp as a tack. He rode up from northern Maine, thru New Brunswick and into Quebec to have lunch. He has made a lot of friends in northern Maine and appears to be greatly enjoying life.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jack and Sandi on Thursday night! Super people.
35 seemed to be late or they had some blowdowns on Thursday, but they’d completed a huge task and it was open for business. Hammer down.
Tourville at Jasmin is always a winner. Gas 2.25/L. Great lunch. Moving averages were high that day!
Fortunate to be headed back with a stellar crew on Thursday right out of home base…I’ll be seeing RDL on Saturday afternoon. Excellent group on here, I feel fortunate to have met a few of you along the way and it hasn’t disappointed. Safe riding to all!

Hi Mike.  My trade-in was a 2020 so this one is an upgrade in suspension.  I do notice the ride is a little flatter and feels a little better.  Not that the 2020 was bad but this one is better.  I sense the bumps under the sled put they don't transfer up to my body as much.
I think back to 2003 when the Rev first came out and how transforming it was.  Now each generation gets better.  It is amazing how far the suspensions have evolved.  And I'm sure the other manufacturers are just as good with their advances.  I'm not one to put one manufacturer over another.  It is all snowmobiling to me.

Left out of Jackman with the plan of doing the loop around Lac  Etchemin.  Got to the river crossing on 75 in St Georges and found the ice not safe and the cable bridge out.  Has the bridge been out long?  Little disappointing that theres no bridge over a large river on a trans trail.

Ended up taking 535 to 545 back to the 1st club house.  Was going to grad lunch but the place was packed.  Figured I do the 580 25 loop.  Started out on the 580,  trail was good till St Robert but snow got a little to thin for my liking.  Turned back and headed home.

All in all a good ride, got in a little over 200 miles.  The clubs have done a great job with low snow and lack of cold weather.  Looking forward to the next ride.

Unfortunately, a real sign of the times. Places can't get help plus combined with high food and commodity costs, owners need to either close or have a very strong, steady customer stream to survive. This is also certain to be occurring at our favorite clubhouses. 😢

Annual meeting (congress) of FCMQ is in Trois Riveres this year.
There has been discussions of any tickets and specifically the demerit points that go with tickets would carry over to your drivers license for Quebec residents. That has been squashed at least for 2023.
Alot of emphasis being put on respecting property owners. STAYING ON THE TRAIL.
this video is all in french but it should be in english too and should also be played before you can purchase a trail permit.
Do not need to speak or understand french to understand the message of the video.

I remember it being closed for quite a while (seasons) back in the 90s and you would detour to the right and cross on the auto bridge. It reopened sometime in the early 2000s and closed again in 2017 (?)
Anyone know why it’s closed or what the plan is to reopen it? I know it’s considered ‘Historic’ so I’m sure it’s complicated.but it’s sad to see it unrepaired.

I probably have well over 1000 snowmobile photos and less than a dozen are true "keepers", almost professional looking. I have had to work hard at it over the years and still nowhere as good as say Towing is.
I found this today over on HCS Quebec website today. Some guy who lives in "western Quebec" took this (or his friends did) this past week in the Chic-Chocs.
It has my vote for best snowmobile pic EVER SNAPPED. Does it have your vote too?
Feel free to post what ya got on here (good, bad, ugly) and we will try and keep it going.
If that was me in that pic I would have it made on an 8x10 ft piece of wallpaper to put in my bedroom no matter the cost.

Excellent points Bob. I had suggested the thermal gun because it is quick and easy - and I would expect the dealer would do this after the parts replacements didn’t solve it but who knows.
No mention of coolant showing up anywhere externally so I’m betting on someone overlooking water pump function or a restriction in the cooling system.
