Such a nice trip, wonderful friends, great snow and smooth trails. And a cameraman to do all the work!

Sandi and I are back on the trail.  We drove up to the Delta yesterday.  We saw Bill, Danielle, Colette, the Gutz boys, Glen and others last night.  Quite a few rigs out in the lot.  Plenty of snow cover here.  The trail crossings at the road looked really good.
On the way up we could see that Drummondville to Quebec City received some freezing rain from the last storm but it didn't hurt the snow cover.  Coming up thru the Park the snow banks were high.  The travel lane was clear and the passing lane had a dusting on it.
It is cold, -25C this morning.  The groomer map shows that the clubs were out in force as usual.  Not sure where to ride yet.  Being a weekend we will stay off the mountain.  So many choices.

Hi guys,  last weekend the 19-20 january Snowcruiser and I did a two days ride Champlain/Relais22 round trip loop in Mauricie. The weather was freeking cold on saturday and we were in a small snow storm on sunday but trails were really nice. Here the trail path we did

Finished the trip up yesterday in St Jean de Matha 130 mile ride from my buddies camp up at the end of the M19 trail on Lac Chapeau de Paille. It’s pretty much in between Matawin and the Repos. 1200 beautiful miles this past week with two great friends. No troubles and GREAT ridng. Got home at 11 pm last night and already want to go back. Here is a pick from the camp yesterday morning before we left.
We decided to name the trip “The Cabin 1200 Tour” as the first two nights and the last were in the above cabin. The middle 3 nights were in a cabin in Parent, The Gouin and 100 Lacs. So a “cabin” all 6 nights.

Terry and Steven,               Tonight was 1/2 price bottles of wine at La Cage. I thought of you both,  I brought half a bottle of La Cerbere Chardonay back to the hotel. Cheers!!!

Nice of the sun to visit today. We wrecked a lot of freshly groomed trails today and I'm not going to lie, it was fun!

Hi Mike,
I'm glad to see you are putting that new jacket to good use.  It was -20C when we left Saturday morning and it dropped to -28C around La Pocatiere on auto route 20.  We had a good ride home.  If all goes well, we will head back up this Saturday January 26th.  We might snowmobile to RDL instead of trailer this time.  Say hi to Terry for us.

Dont know if any folks on here saw todays temps. Its -18F at 1pm in St Michel, -14f at Shawinigan. Nasty cold. Today is one of those "test your helmet and shield" days that Im glad Im missing.

He absolutely loves the new helmet. No problems with it. And he couldn't be any happier with his new 600R. He is now Ricky Racer and darn hard to keep up with!
FarmerOld tried his other new 900 Enduro and found out he shouldn't have put the HD rear springs on his. After trying the spare and loving it, he is now like Mario Andretti after winning a race. He is grinning ear to ear. He is extremely pleased how the spare sled handles and rides.
 
Note:  I  have moved to rm #554 in the new section. Very nice room.

Dave, Sandi and I went out yesterday.  We went down 544 thru Pohenegamook and stopped at the Frontieres club house.  They are having drag races there this weekend.  They were out getting the track staked and ready.  We then took 35 and 85 down to Degelis and looped back up 571 to Squatec.  Amazing how many maple trees are tapped along the 571 for the maple sap.
We then returned to the hotel via 571, 544 and 85.
The trails are fine.  There was only one big field that had been wind blown and was a little thin.  Far from bare just thin.  There is very little traffic out there.  I think it is because there is snow cover in New England and Ontario so people are riding closer to home instead of the trek to Quebec.  We can deal with that. ☺️
We did see two snowmobiles late in the day with the word "Police" written on the side of the sled.  It was around 4:00 PM so I'm guessing they were heading in.  It was around the St Cyprien area.
The storm that is coming in Sunday has shifted south.  The prediction is 10 cm of snow here in RDL.  The bulk of the snow is mid to upper Vermont.  Plan your travel wisely.
