  1. Vaccination Card/proof required according to news today
  2. They didn't fix the relay issue yet? The 2006 Apex had that issue, i figured it was resolved by now but still an issue with the Viper?

Not nearly what it used to be.
  4. I know the older owners of ScoobyRaid were sentenced to jail time this past year(2016). I remember a post about it being sold a year or 2 ago however nothing since. We had a great trip and stayed there for a couple nights back in 2012/2013 timeframe and a younger couple were running the place (not sure if they were trying to buy it or what). Does anyone know whatever happened to them (another place maybe?) and what happened or is happening to the property?
  5. Exact same thing happened to me a couple years ago up around Mt Valin. Crossing tracks in town about 2 mph and the dooly's squared up to the rail and stopped me instantly, throwing me up and off the sled. Hurt like hell and was completely unexpected. I now have a fear of crossing tracks and always try to make sure I cross with as little weight on the skies as possible. My ribs were sore for a couple days from the handlebar contact but otherwise I was spared anything broken.
  6. Is there a reason to consider the road vs the trail? Unless the trail was shutdown for a reason why not just stay on the trail and ride? Don't get me wrong, I've jumped on the local berm many a time if the trail alongside is beat all to heck and back but otherwise I figured I wouldn't make out so well with a log truck.
  7. I purchased and transferred a couple years back. Really easy but I had to peel off that outside piece from my original sticker and turn it in.
  8. sounds like an excuse to buy a new sled with the latest suspension, even if the one you have is already comfortable.
  9. Looks very cold NEXT week. No season yet In my backyard in North Central PA. Was just talking over the weekend how this could be my first rideless season in 10 yrs of doing this.
  10. It's a very big reason, outside of lack of snow, that our trails in Pennsylvania get closed or simply not approved. Glad to see they are enforcing it. No need for excessive noise
  11. Yea, but how many roads do you cross a day? I doubt it will happen but you could be looking at many fines over a given week. Not worth it to me, No Quebec this year if they don't change it. A lot of people buy their passes when they go up so this will definitely hurt permits sales
  12. My favorite is the Yamaha Apex's trying to backup at gas pumps with the studs. It seems with those sleds in particular when the clutch engages the RPM's are already so high that it sits there and spins. Kind of hard to feather that throttle. My GSX can be the same way if I grab too much thumb too quickly.
  13. I use my bank and they don't charge me a penny. I get the exact exchange rate at the time of the exchange, no premium. I'd switch banks. I usually do like 2000 at a time and they ask what size of bills I want.
  14. Wow I must say I don't know you but if that's your wife riding with you then you are a lucky man! It's not all about mileage but you are pushing 300 mile days and she's good to go? Impressive. So tell us more about those 900's when you get a chance. Just curious on power, acceleration, comfort, and mileage.
  15. probably no damn internet service
  16. definately not those heavy yamahas. settle down....just kidding.
  17. That's only like 13/14 mpg, i thought they did way better than that? I think a lot of people are going to be carrying gas this year, i have a 2.5 gallon tank for on my GSX and i can go 140-150 on a full tank so i should be good.
  18. That would be perfect conditions here in PA
  19. Interested in some details on North Bay if you get some time. PM me and i'll give you an email. No Iphone, it was a razr MaxHD. likely somewhere between the yellow Cell Signal signs and Mekoos. Are you still on the Polaris? I took my 2009 S/B up for a friend and my 1200.
  20. We had a great trip however I lost my phone so no pics! We ended up just staying in a cabin at mekoos for whole trip. Never really rode the local trails in that area and they were all perfect. Most of the time we were the only tracks on the freshly groomed trails. Not sure how they did that but everything, and I mean everything was groomed flat and wide. Very cold for March except for the last day. Mekoos is second to none! They treated us like guests and the food was spectacular. The owner even had the chef cook us some of his personal Moose, Pheasant, and Red Deer for an appetizer the last night. We didn't do huge miles but we were all pretty much ear to ear smiles on those trails. Issue is that some places are closed during the week so it's making it a little tricky trying to get from place to place due to fuel. Club Scott is closed for the season and from what we heard maybe not open at all next year. We were going to do a 2 hour dog sled trip the end of the last day but the Musher had an issue and had to cancel at the last minute so we still have that on our list of things to do! If anyone sees a phone on the trail let me know So anyways we didn't make it West but from what we rode I can't imagine we missed too much! I couldn't expect better conditions, let alone for Mid March. there's still plenty to be had for anyone looking to get another trip in.
  21. Thanks. We found a couple rooms left at Mekoos so we are starting there this time and we'll head northwest
  22. Anyone ever start from here? Wondering if my truck and trailer are safe here (always with precautions). We would be coming up through buffalo and North Bay so looking for the closest place in Quebec to start from for a 4 day run starting Sunday.
