Unfortunately we decided to head down to Saint Raymond on Saturday morning due to the pending weather forecast. Thanks again Bill for all your hard work & dedication to make the gathering a reality. It doesn't go unnoticed. You are a great ambassador for Quebec snowmobiling. We rode to Shawinigan today & will pull out for home tomorrow very early. Everyone get home safely! Got to ride a bit on the way out with the Gutz boys and Jack thru the closed section of 383 which was awsome!We did make it from the meet (LSJ) to St Raymond Via 83/ 3 thru quebec in one day. For reference its 276 miles 12 hours door to door in a storm. Gotta give Linda props for going the whole way.She's a great rider and official photographer of the trip..We had to split from Mcstars group but it was a great ride til sled problems. JG thanks for letting me take the lead on friday with no face shield heat . It was great Ride'n hard hope to do it again. Saquenay Bill....I have to say, very well organized event, great food, loved my sip of the 'Caribou', and was honoured to ride up to Scooby Raid with you!! How lucky was I to run into the Monteniege magazine guys and Ski doo Dan!! We made the picture and the video on the site!! For me, that is pretty neat. I just want to point out that if I hadn't been stopped trailside, alone, with my coat off...they may have kept driving by! lol (you guys figure out why I was stopped lol) Snowfarmer...without you, I wouldn't have made it. I am not sure if I am getting old but that felt like a long drive to get to St. Raymond...thanks for driving!! Your map skills are impeccable...and you are a great trail boss!! Made it possible for me to make the Gathering and get me back safe! Traillbazer...Great to meet you!! You are good stuff!! I loved your friends, great people! I like your style...you ride well but its more than that, just plain old good people!! And don't worry...I didn't tell anyone about offering to tow you back with my ski doo and you choosing Mikes yamaha! Crazysnow, Florida, RevCt, Gutz brothers, Shane, bridgebuilder, farmerold, mcstar,, phil, Jackstraw,182 ray, wow...the list goes on...was just so great to meet all of you!!! I had a lot of fun, great rides and wonderful conversation. I know I am missing some of you and will have to edit, but what fun was that!! Freezing ride up Friday -36C I think.......stopped at L'etape for lunch and fuel! Arrived for some 'Caribou'!! Thanks Bill!! Ready to roll out Saturday morning for Scooby! Phil and his smiley face...going to make an effort to make it back! Gutz family...looking like they are ready to roll! lindasledgirl Posted January 22, 2013 Report Share Posted January 22, 2013 Now...just when the wind had died a little, the sun came out and we were fueled and ready to lunch in just 5km.....we have a break down! Sunday...hmmm Lunch, then a blizzard! The rest of the ride in the day light...spectacular! My drive from Sarnia to Port Perry, then to St. Zenon area, then St. Raymond, then drove to Mont Ste-Anne then drive back to Port Perry and then to Sarnia...about 2500km. Sled travel was about 1400km. I wish Groomer was there with the good camera!! There were so many places I know we would have stopped to do pictures!! Start saving Mr!! You are coming with me next year!! Thanks to everyone that helped me make it to this trip! And a special thanks to ANDYMAN for coming to St. Raymond to say hello! Lindasledgirl!! I am a bit distressed at my machine that let me down twice causing me and my partners miles, but as my wife said at least is is a broken machine not body. My biggest THANK YOU goes out to bridgebuilder for letting me hitch a ride from The Delta LSJ to Shawingan in his truck and sled in trailer, he saved my bacon...He is a gentleman and I owe him one. Crusher Posted January 26, 2013 Report Share Posted January 26, 2013 although our trip to lsj started in st raymond hospital (our friend sprained her wrist before even getting on her sled), ended up driving to delta lsj with truck,trailer,broken and wife and 2 sleds meeting up with trailblazer and the rest of the riders from st raymond, being our firs trip with qc rider we will be back and had a blast, big thanks to bill and all of who organized.
