Living in the area, I am one of those who has been hoping and waiting for this to open, but certainly I am 100% against these guys running that trail right now. In this instance I hope the club, ministre du transport or other in authority  put big cement blocks at each end to block these guys.  

Think again, the ministre du transport in all of thier wisdom seemed to over-look a couple of land owners right beside the trail when they did the study and it is blocked.... they put up signs which have the round red circle and slash through with both sleds and atv all the way along from mont blanc, all the way back to gauthiers pit on the 117 on the new trail...... Heard it was already past 3 million dollars of wasted infrastructure dough....

They had 5 cat excavators working along the trail today, a bulldozer, several 10 wheelers and 2 compactors.......

Huge work is being under-taken at the bottom of the Morrison hill, about a kilometer past my last picture, they are actually putting an entire stream under ground for approx. 500 feet, and to our count, they have already prepared for a minimum of three bridges so far, and one almost finished... So not just a bit of trimming, this turned out to be a quite expensive venture...LOL... if we had to guess, its up to $1,000,000 and counting.....J&J

What needs to done is when a trail pass is issused you have to state your track length and lug height. Then like was said out law lugs bigger that 1.6" and no more than 146" tracks on FMCQ trails.  If the clubs catch them fine them like they were caught with no trail pass. $500 might make them look for another place to ride. Anyone caught off the trail and I mean all riders should also punished. This is effecting a persons life. 
  I was at a outpost getting gas  last weekend  and four guys came in that were off trailing. Nice guys but not one  had trail pass stickers on their sleds. I looked on purpose.  They were talking about their  day and last thing was said was they were glad they could  ride the trail back to their hotel. The guide just laughed and said if they get caught they will just jump off the trail and no one could catch them. This is going to be a problem in the future. The guys I met were from Toronto but they were being guided. I blame this on the guide because he is getting paid.

we did a slow drive of the entire trajectory of the new trail today, the hydro-axe work is almost finished, there is a considerable amount of excavation and modification the needs to be done in several places, but all in all the trail is right along the north-east side of the #117 highway... the groomer will actually fit quite well between the "wall" of stone on the upper portion of the morrison hill....👍

Ok, we are ready to launch the QR apparel website. We have selected a few items to start off with, and moving forward we can always add or delete items based on demand. The way this works is we will leave the 'store' open until the end of September, then gather all of the orders to print / embroider at that time. The turn time will be approx 10 days, and when everything is decorated, we will ship to individuals. Bear with us as we get our feet wet with this first order!! Great to see, we use to ride in the St Agathe area alot before the rail trail was shut down.

Going to be hard for snowmobile haters to shut this part down, the noise from the traffic on the 117 hwy far exceeds the noise of today’s sleds. 

THANKS for info .. it will be good when done ..  trails are closing every where .  we had some re routes this year and even had to move our Warm up hut / relais do to trail closure.. No help at all from fcmq.  infact they were the cause of a lot of problems in our area.. Not at all sure of the direction of FCMQ.

another.... opps, reached my limit...LOL... i have boat-loads of pictures, the trajectory is all within 200 feet of the highway more or less, and id say the excavation work is approx. 60% finished....😃👍
