Remember the trail 347 to La Tuque? From Mattawin
Is that the one that had "Spencer" half way down the trail?
Back then the owner of Chez Marineau in La Tuque told us about this trail outside of town , directly to Matawin!
I remember it being awesome!

Iceman, what are you running? I recall Mrs Ice mentioning them.
Funny, when I read Mrs Iceman's remark, I understood she was referring to Mr. Iceman as the hydraulic part of the wheel activator! You see, I have to " activate" my wife's wheels as well....and "deactivate" as well, still cant get her to try yanking the sled sideways to deactivate!

Plowking, we were also up there the same week, we never make reservations and I looked up the Quebec school spring break week and it came up for May 6th week, but found out it was the February 28th week, so that did not help, but I have never seen so many snowobilers as I saw last week. We had to modify the trip according to where we could find a room. I was told at a few places that not all the rooms were opened due to lack of staff! And the endless tours that were in the area did not help the situation. And finally talking with groups from Ontario and US states, they mentioned little to no snow in their area, so up north they went!

I have sold all my sleds here in NJ with Certificate of Origin and generic bill of sale, never had a problem, so you should have no problem (Mac). They were never registered in NJ.

I paid no tax or duty. Had to stop at Canada customs with paperwork, and they faxed a form back to the dealer as proof the sled was going to the states and was tax exempt. I saved $1300 at the time with the exchange rate. I registered in NH without issue. Naturally my local dealer was not impressed with me. later, while riding in Quebec, I had some minor warranty work done at a dealer. I was questioned why I owned a sled sold in Canada. My French is limited, but what I got out out of it was the dealer was going to somehow let on the sled belonged to my brother in law in Quebec to make the warranty work. I ultimately traded the the sled in NH without issue. In your case, did you ride or trailer the sled back? Was it claimed at the border? What brand sled, and where was it built? Can it be switched from Klicks to miles? Seems to me if it's in the States legally, with supporting paperwork, it should be able to be sold without issue. If not, then maybe trade in Canada and get proper documentation on the next one?
NYS non transferable registration is a "trail permit " for out of state sleds only, will need original Certificate of Origin or a legit bill of sale to transfer ownership.

You could launch from Sainte Anne Du Lac, 45 min north of Mont Laurier on route 309, call Resto Bar Relais du tourime and see if they have rooms and parking for the dates you have.
