that last one looks like the ski area at Mont-du-Midi ?

correct, last day of our trip we left RDL in the morning and got first tracks on TQ5 which is the top pic and hit the top of the mountain dropping down to Lac Etchimin from 35. Probably the best day of riding I've ever had as far as conditions went, little bumpy outside Notre Dame du Rosaire but beyond that it was glass and we passed all of 3 sleds between RDL and Beauce.

Rob,

That Saguenay pic above, is that the stretch of the river that is now closed to sleds?

This is going to be a great site, looking forward to it...

Gary

that is on the river well past the fishing huts at Baie Eternity. I'm not sure if it is closed now or not. That pic was pretty far out on the ice. There is a parc there, I forget it's name. Bill will know, he is on that second sled in the pic. ;)

edit: here is another from the same area back where you just get onto the ice:

Hi Gary

It was not closed to sleds last year and I doubt it will be closed because a lot of ice fisherman get to it by sled. You can't cross the Saguenay because of the channel they keep open for the ships.

I did a cruise on the Saguenay River 2 weeks ago.

It's a great way to discover the Fjord. It's beautifull!

I took a few pics in the area of Baie Eternité:

We can see the 30 feet high statue on the top of the mountain.

It's the same place as Rob's winter pics:

Hi HDen

My wife and I did that curise 3 years ago. Did the boat pull up to the spot along the cliffs that has the loin's head on the rock? Great to see this area in the summer.

Actually PF, a lot of bridges that you cross by snowmobile doo have traffic lights.

Here is the one just outside Jonquerrie.

Ther is one leaveing the Governeu hotel in Sawinagin.

You are under the bridge that crosses the river. You need to press the button and wait for the green light and then go up and over the river.

The 1st time we waited like 10 min or so and it never changed to green. We decided to go through the red light and we got lucky.

I would hate to in a tracfic jam half way across. The sleds just fit between the edge of the bridge and the steel railing along the road.

It would be real tough to back out of there.
