Relentless Lake Effect Snow

We have received about 6 feet of snow in a 24 hour period. Another round has started today with a couple feet expected. Incredible to see. I live about 10 miles south of Buffalo, NY. Here are a few pictures I took before the second round. One is NYS Thruway under my street. Keep in mind we got about 3 more feet since taken. Another picture shows cars under the humps in the snow. Another is my back yard before todays 2nd round of snow.

Thank You Linda, unfortunately 12 have lost their lives so far. I am safe and have plenty food, beer and wine.

Bill, Dave normally gets more than me but the winds were from a different direction this time and never veered.

NJSkidoo, trails do not open till Dec. 9th here. The snow is too deep anyways but I admire your enthusiasm.

We received 3 more feet yesterday so that makes about 100 inches (250 cm for my Canadian friends) since Monday night. The actual depth now is lower as the snow is so heavy it settles and it is melting from the bottom as the ground is not frozen. Will post a few more pictures once I get outside today. Here is the beer section at local store and a creative cooler.

Great pictures!! Glad you don't have much damage..

RIP to the ones that didn't make it through this storm. It sure makes you feel helpless when this kind of thing happens.

Lots to be Thankful for really. Happy Thanksgiving!

Linda
