Jackstraw
Day 1 After arriving at RDL early Friday afternoon with a temp of 53. Me and Phil1 deceided to saddle up and head out being the rain had ended. One other trailer in the corral and not looking pretty out we deceided to head to moose valley NB. Trails actually not as bad as it looked. Once past the clubhouse trails greatly improve in coverage. TQ 85 to the NB border. Great coverage super soft snow, smooth but sloppy at times. Through Edmunston which was thin as expected but very passable. Onto the 17 to Moose Valley for the night 130 miles. Tons of snow inNB. Day 2 Thoght of taking the new trail to Amqui but after a foot of fresh snow a week before and few sleds we deceided to head towards Biencourt being there is only 2 of us. Trails up into QC great shape onto the tq35 to tq5. Soft snow, water holes and a trail closure by MT Joli on TQ 5 sent us backtracking to the 579. Huge washout with no way around. After getting up to the windmills they just plowed the road. Spent a good half hour trying to figure out where the trail went. Finally behind the 5ft walls we found it and into Amqui for the night 208 miles. Lots of water holes to skip and detours. It's spring in the Gaspe for sure Edited April 3, 2016 by Jackstraw

Trailblazer
Mose valley.....awesome 2 legged dear der yum yum.... You guys gotta be a little more adventitious, DUO team is the best for the best off trailing can cover lots of ground with less time at the pumps sharing less grim life stories. Jackstraw
True JG but sometimes there is a fine line between adventurous and stupid move. If we had the track on GPS we would have tried. It wouldn't load into his GPS. And with a foot+ of new snow earlier in the week even the owner of MV said might be risky. Certainly no sled tracks. He was more worried about burning up to much fuel in the heavy wet snow. Also tons of trees down from the storm. Not this time

Jackstraw
Day 3 Woke to sunny skies and still warm at 31degres Saddled up and took the tq5 to 591 onto the 5again to cap chat for fuel. A little rough till the 5 by Matane then fresh groomed all the way to cap chat. Temps falling and windy as hell. So much for spring! After fueling up backtracked to the 595 to la cache. First 8 miles kinda rough, thought about turning back but kept on. At the bridge the groomer had worked his magic and bingo, a 10 into la cache. Fueled up and took the orange to murdochville. Definitely one of my favorite trails and recently groomed and didn't disappoint . At hotel copper for the night. Must say trails today where amazing, tons of snow still grooming. Feels like mid winter. 258 miles Edited April 3, 2016 by Jackstraw

Jackstraw
Day5 All I can say is WOW!!!! Woke up to sunny skies temp of 7. Saddled up and hit the TQ5 towards Cross Point, little icy and thin till up in elevation. Once closer to PLC bingo fresh groomed. Jumped on the orange trail that bypasses PLC also fresh groomed. Back to tq5 bang a left to the 587 not recently groomed, tight and twisty for a bit then bingo, fresh groomed! Doesn't get any better then this. We are now 4 after hook in up with Shane and Paul last night. What a awesome trail, passed groomer midway but a couple miles later again fresh groomed all the way to Albertvile. Hooked up with JG for lunch. Great seeing you again JG, always a pleasure. Trails al around albertville fresh groomed and saw the groomer in the way to Amqui for the night. 185 miles
