Yes it's all a farce.  My brother's a paramedic.  Explain that to him.  He just moved a 50 year old patient between ICU wards.  Guy had no pre-existing health conditions before covid.  Looks like he will survive, but will need a ventilator for the balance of his life as his lungs are toast.  He's seen many 30 and 40 year olds dealing with blot clots and the related strokes they cause.  Not the 1 in 100,000 from the Astra Zeneca shot.  The 1 in 5 for covid patients that get admitted to hospital that this occurs to.  Again no pre-existing health issues with the majority of these patients.  The media has reported the deaths.  What has got far less attention is the folks that survived and are now screwed.  Without your health you have nothing.  Every government in the developed world got together to create this big conspiracy.  Come on.  Enough with the rhetoric.  Covid has become far too political.  Vote for who you want, but how can so many be ignoring scientific fact.  This virus kills people or leaves them in very bad shape.  Vaccination pretty much stops all of that.
Welcome back American snowmobilers.  Sorry you still need a covid test, but a small price to pay to get to come play in the north.

Pretty big difference between segregating and discriminating against a population based on race and putting a policy in place to stop the spread of a deadly virus in an effort to save lives. This policy allows those that have chosen to do something about stopping the virus some leeway if we are faced with increased infection levels again and a further lockdown is needed.  It doesn't discriminate against people based on items they can't control (sex, race, etc.).  We all get to make our own choice and like many things in life there are benefits and / or consequences that come with those choices.  You have every right to decide what does and doesn't go into your body.  You don't have the right to blindly go around contracting and then passing this disease onto other people who might end up in much worse shape than yourself because of it.  This is the world we now live in.  Want to cross the border.  Probably not happening for a long time without having the shots.  If a 4th wave starts those that chose not to get vaccinated and are therefore the ones that the disease is spreading in are going to have to do something to help stop that wave.  Unvaccinated people don't have the right to cause suffering and death (even if it is unintentional) in vulnerable populations and in our kids who aren't eligible for vaccines.  This is not south Africa and any insinuating that it is is wrong.

Don’t get me wrong...he should not have been shot, major f-up by cop mistaking gun for taser, however if you comply with instructions given by authorities and respect (which is the key word here) authorities this would not have happened.

Ford currently does this with its F150's running on those ecoblow engines. You can use forscan software to shut it off.
A stretch...but while at a gas station fueling up during moose hunting season, a fellow pulled in towing a utility trailer on which was a 5 cubic foot freezer and a small generator which was running to keep the freezer going. The small generator would burn very little fuel. Tow one behind your electric sled and charge as you go. Works for locomotives too - diesel to dc electric.

Depending on how much you want to spend, in the same area with trail running through the property is this place:
    https://www.auchaletenboisrond.com/en/
The roquemont is basically a motel - as opposed to having your own chalet/hot tub etc.
    https://www.auchaletenboisrond.com/en/cottages-for-rent
English spoken, cook your own meals or order in. Wife will like it much better. Plenty of trails. Fuel in St. Raymond or bring your own gas cans.

With regard to the St. Zenon  mention above, snow if more consistent north of the seven falls area. Try this place:

Maybe Polio is a hoax too?  I mean, I have never seen anyone with Polio in my life, must not even exist then.  Children getting vaccinated everywhere for no reason.  Hoax, lol!
Polio Vaccine Effectiveness and Duration of Protection
    Vaccine Effectiveness
Two doses of inactivated polio vaccine (IPV) are 90% effective or more against polio; three doses are 99% to 100% effective.
A person is considered to be fully vaccinated if he or she has received:
four doses of any combination of IPV and tOPV, or a primary series of at least three doses of IPV or trivalent oral poliovirus vaccine (tOPV) AND
The last dose in either series should be given after 4 years of age and at least 6 months after the previous dose.

If you ride on separate machines,  stay 6 feet apart when stopped, wear a mask and sanitize your hands if you go inside to pay for gas or order take out food to eat on your sled your ok. We have been doing just that as are the other groups of sleds we come across. Skiing has also remained open in QC but you have to be members of the same household to share the chair lift otherwise single occupancy. Having said all that spring break is coming and though they have been discouraging travel between regions, there is now talk of setting up checkpoints to limit travel to sensitive regions.

slomo reacted to doo4adoo in Barrage Gouin run
Our first Pandemic ride of the season. Considering lack of snow in many areas the map showed our best success for shortest commute would be the run from Saint Ann du lac to the Gouin. Map was showing green for go. We each drove up separately and met in Mt Laurier. Nothing available in Saint Ann as all booked. Comfort Inn was a happening place. Parking lot was full of trucks and sleds.  Picture included. I thought at first they had Valet parking as there was an attendant. No he just there to tell us where to park so everyone could get in. Registration was easy but had to sign  a form saying you're healthy and only people of same address in room. They gave you a  list of restaurants that deliver. St Hubert was our choice. Spoke sort of to  a guy, he's French I'm not and the gist was trails weren't very good but he had only gone local.
Woke to find only a small amount of snow. Was disappointed as I had expected more. Off to Saint Ann to launch. Arrived and the lots & street were packed with rigs, more than I had seen before. Given this was one of the few areas its understood. Plan was the local up to the 13 and then 83. Off across the lake some slush but nothing of concern. Once off the lake the trail was used. I'm guessing the trails being good is like going to the bar and at the beginning she's a 5 and then as the nigh goes she becomes a 10. Well onwards. In fairness it did get better and some areas were actually good. Still rather be riding than sitting at home reading the latest on Quebec Rider 🙂
We stopped at Fer Cheval for gas. Wasn't overly busy. They have set up 2 fire areas to relax and warm up. take out was available and some enjoying a beverage. Pictures included.

Off we go towards Parent. Trails OK until about 10 miles before. Once you're in more of the bush and off of the roads its big need of snow. We opted for the road where we could since there was a couple of inches of fresh. Gassed and grabbed a snack as it was lunch time. We were luck the weather was about -2 C which is pleasant. Decided with snow on the road to well take the road. Nice 60 miles of smooth running to the Gouin.
Check in was easy and the same drill. Off to our room. They have the main entry-dining area closed off. Its just the lounge area where you enter-exit now. So it was room service Drinks started at 2;30, dinner we opted for 5;30. Place was booked for the night as well. Options was fish or chicken with a soup and desert. I opted for the chicken and sugar pie 😋 Picture included. If you are a group of 2 you had to eat in your room, we were 3 (buddy & son) so we could eat at the 1 table in the lounge but had to have masks if not eating. They also gave you your breakfast to put in the fridge for morning.  The 2 fox came by for scraps. Sorry none from me. Woke the next morning to maybe 4-5 inches of new snow, picture attached. Nothing to make the day a challenge. We had planned on going back the way of 345,33 and 53 but we heard gas lines were long at Repos. Not surprised as Manawan is off limits. While we were getting short changed on the snow up north our spouses  sent us pics of over a 1 foot at out places with the the note of Hurry home to clean please. So we hit the trail a bit earlier for us at 8 and went back the same route. No pictures today. Just gas & go. Road back was good. Did get startled when we came across the snow plow but the road is big enough for us all. Once we hit Parent and down trails with this new snow had really gone to shit. Oh well. It was interesting when we arrived back at the truck our 2 rigs were the only ones there at 1. Day before packed, next day empty. Must all been day riders. Typically many rigs with people out saddle bagging. Maybe it will change as more snow comes.
Overall good run for the first of the season. With this new snow in many areas and colder temps this week it should only get better.

I am NOT a conspiracy guy, but this was perfectly executed "Seal the Steal". By sundown Wednesday, Swampers (on both sides) able to swing fence-sitters and outnumbering new & existing Patriots, from "wasting" time hearing the mountains of rock-solid evidence of election "irregularities". Cut the legs out from under the play to at least have a 10 day look-see, no preconceived notions, as all-all-all should want.
