Let's be honest.  Both options suck in their current offerings.  There is lots being spent on R and D though.  So hopefully we get there sooner than later.  Talking with some generator guys and they've told me the energy density isn't nearly as good with hydrogen vs. natural gas.  It will take a larger volume of fuel to do the same job.  Natural gas was never as good as diesel or gasoline on this front to begin with.  I'd say were on the EV bandwagon now like it or not.  Question is when they can get the range up, charging times down and cold weather performance in line with less losses.  I could be wrong, but what I see is lots of EV charging infrastructure being built.  I don't see much in the way of hydrogen infrastructure coming online.  Water emissions would make for some interesting winter driving though wouldn't it?  Might firm some trails up if the sleds are watering the trails down ever so lightly as you ride too.  Maybe they can find a way to convert that water emissions into snow.  Every sled is a snow maker.  Now we're onto something.

    sopfeu update today.
    [ ⚠️ Provincial status 🔥🌲]

    June 7, 2023, 1:55 p.m.

There are still 148 active fires in the Intensive Protection Zone (including 13 new ones) and nine in the Northern Zone. Of these, 99 are considered out of control, i.e. they are progressing.

The fight is on for 36 priority fires. Given the scale of the situation, it is impossible for SOPFEU to systematically fight all fires, as it usually does in intensive protection zones. Under the circumstances, SOPFEU must continue its interventions, based on the following priorities:
    - Protection of human lives and communities
    - Protection of strategic infrastructures (e.g. Hydro-Québec lines)

HIGHLIGHTS OF SUPPRESSION OPERATIONS AND PRIORITY FIRES

    Eastern region
    👉 Rain reduced fire intensity.
👉 Work continues actively near SEPT-ÎLES with air tankers, ground and helicopter watering on #Feu2023_215 and #Feu2023_378. Fire 215 is now contained to 808 ha. Fire 378 continues to progress, but more slowly.
👉 MICOUA sector (MANIC3): For #Feu2023_270 (HC 1600 ha), #Feu2023_283 (HC 9400 ha), #Feu2023_375 (HC 800 ha), #Feu2923_424 (HC 160 ha), forest firefighters are carrying out ground work, particularly in the Route 389 area.
    👉 SACRÉ-COEUR area: #Feu2023_381 is under observation.

    Center region
👉 #Feu2023_334, near CHIBOUGAMAU: The fire advanced 20 km yesterday and winds continue. Air tanker response and ground work, including burning and stop line. The amalgamation of three fires (334-367-368), now estimated at 60,550 ha, led to the precautionary evacuation of Chibougamau residents (7,500 people), heading for Roberval. No evacuation is planned for Mistissini for the time being. SOPFEU is also prioritizing the protection of Route 167, which allows for the eventual evacuation of various communities. Five air tankers are dedicated to the area, in addition to ground crews.
👉 In Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, priorities include #Feu2023_275 , west of Lac-Saint-Jean. Work continues to protect Hydro-Québec facilities in the area, with the construction of a mechanized shutdown line. A dozen firefighters are on the job. Despite the small amount of rain expected on this fire, this influx of water and the relatively low temperature will help lower the fire's intensity.
👉 As for #Feu2023_299, in the Notre-Dame-de-Lorette sector, some twenty forest firefighters are still at work.  Work continues on a mechanized stop line.

    Western region
👉 #Feu2023_344 and #Feu2023_312, near LEBEL-SUR-QUÉVILLON: air tanker work, helicopters, ground watering, mechanized stop line.
👉 #Feu2023_281, near NORMÉTAL and St-Lambert, still out of control. This is one of the day's top priorities. Air tankers at work.
👉 #Feu2023_297, Lake MATCHI-MANITOU, still growing. Surface area 20,200 Ha. Our crews are still on the lookout for this fire.

    STATUS OF LAND RESOURCES
👉 Today, 628 forest firefighters, auxiliary fighters and military personnel are in action on the various prioritized fire sites.

    AIRBORNE RESOURCES
👉 19 air tankers are deployed on priority fires. Of these, four CL-215 T tankers are from Nova Scotia.
👉 The number of helicopters used to fight fires has risen from 16 to 74, including four provided by the Canadian Armed Forces.
👉 13 airpoint and lookout aircraft fly over the territory, including 1 from Nova Scotia.

    ADDITIONAL FIREFIGHTERS
👉 New Brunswick sends 40 firefighters and a major fire management team to Abitibi.
👉 Tomorrow afternoon, one hundred French firefighters will be welcomed and then directed to the fires burning towards the center of the province.
👉 The United States will contribute by sending 119 people (100 firefighters and a major fire management team).
👉 We could receive an additional 260 forest firefighters from international aid by June 17.
👉 Finally, a contingent of some 280 new Quebec auxiliary fighters will complete their training in the next few days.
👉 Ultimately, some 900 people will swell the ranks of SOPFEU by June 13.

So your saying the trailer would be the preferred spot over the inside rooms ?
i have never seen the upstairs rooms
I walked into that trailer a couple years back and got the “willies”
I remember staying in that hotel in the middle of town about 20 years back. It was called the 4 Seasons. The gal who now owns the depanneur also owns it.  Last year I stopped and saw a French guy there with his door open smoking a butt out on the porch. He said she charges 50 bucks even per night. He let me peak in the room and I swear the same 13” tube TV and carpet were the same as I remember it 20 years ago.
Unless I was in a real pinch I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in Parent except Andre & Genie”s
l’ ombré du vent cabins or rental house
    both fabulous

Pulled into customs at A Bay one time. Put the window down and I hear all this noise coming from the trailer. Figured better pull over and check this out after going through. Got out to find this. Tie down bars were good and tight and brakes were on the sleds. Figure must have caught air on a few of the bridges on the 401!
