We are busy this fall combining 1,200 AC of beans then another 600 AC of corn here in Ontario. Need until about Nov. 20 to complete harvest, then pray for snow. Already getting our  Quebec trips planned for this winter. Cote Nord will be our big trip this year. Will make another one or two shorter trips to locations TBD.

This almost looks more exciting than getting a new sled. Sled is pretty predictable but the truck will be a completely new beast by the time you get it completed.  Good luck on the build

It is a long story and it centers on "IF" we go to a place and report about that place more often than not, we should try to line them up as a sponsor with an ad. We (QuebecRider.com), I've been told, have metrics and KPI's on "Eyes on Pages", "Clicks on Adds" and "Unique Page Requests"  all showing value for your ad dollars. Bill actively brought on several site sponsors and their support is Very Appreciated, but he had a hard time looking for New Sponsors and Asking them to buy in when other businesses were getting "Free" advertising.
For me this is a little difficult as I don't usually feel comfortable with the "Ask" to the business owners.  Some people slide right into it.
Maybe we can come up with a way to make it easier, a Card with contact info and access to metrics we can hand out at these places? I don't have a good answer.
I do not want this place to end up like Dootalk.com. I tried to pull it up on my phone and I waded through 3 video ads just to find out the Torque needed for a PB80 Clutch.
We do miss having him on and I wish he\we could put it behind us.

Beautiful country to tour on the bikes. Wonderful people everywhere you go.
First of September we drove our daughter from Ontario to Halifax, Nova Scotia to start university. Returned home through the U.S. That is a beautiful drive through NH and VT. Want to return on the bikes sometime and do some exploring.

I hope to put some more miles on the venture this season but we are definitely coming toward the end of the season, the trailer will be put back in service for the next!
Have a great off season too
A blue jay day with blue jay pics!!!   Thanks Playhard!
Thank you Phil, I enjoy yours too! this forum is one of the best because alot guys share their adventure on here. I know I miss some and will have some good reading on here to fillup the off season. Have a good summer too!!!
Thank you Steve!  I had been surprised when we ride from l'auberge du Lac Taureau to Canadaventure  over the lake, it's reallly shorter, we were at Canadaventure in no time!
This last weekend was amazing, perfect temperature+long daylight on end of season perfectly shape flat trails. Sharing those times with the one we love is priceless!
Yes, the required water volume to fill up those reservoir is totally amazing but don't worry it will be back at full capacity by June beginning, this every years even when we have less snow than usual. The river network that flowing in those reservoir pickup the water on thousands square kms around. For the Taureau one the Mattawin river source is deep in the Mt-Tremblant park and Rouge-Mattawin reserve via the Mattawin west river. They take 3 months to empty it and it will fill up in just a bit more than one... amazing!
Enjoy your summer and take care

Really enjoyed your trip pictures Alain. We spend 3 days at the Canadaventure Lodge just north of where you stayed on the lake so recognized many of the sites.
We spent the weekend riding north of Mont Laurier, what perfect weather to enjoy our season ending ride. Was also enjoyable trip because my 24 year old son was able to come with me for his first experience riding Quebec.
The reservoir system in Quebec amazes me. We stayed at the Rabaska Lodge, the Baskatong Reservoir is basically empty at that location, just a river running through it. The volume of water it will take to refill these empty reservoirs is hard to imagine. Was looking at the maps and in some cases the watersheds include huge areas but have to wonder if there is enough snow to refill them?
    Have a great summer.
    Steve

They changed some of the trail status and the note on the Woodrunner site today.
I'm not sure what "the last weekend" means. DO they close trails March 31?
We were as far N as Fer Cheval and 100 du Lacs on the weekend. if they receive a bit of snow on April 5 to cover the isolated road spots and crossing there could be some great riding there if still open

It is a real challenge crossing that divided highway and all those intersections, only do it if no other rooms are available, too much traffic there, even going to ski-doo dealer, just call a cab, it is a small town and the cab shows up in less than 5 minutes, cheap and fast, I use cabs a lot when in town going to dinner or chasing a part.

The quality inn up in Sept isles may have nicer rooms, but the comfort inn is much easier to get into.

We did this recently. Started 4 Points Quebec City. Then Coronet in Sac a Couer. Then Le Manoir in Bae Comeau. Then Comfort Inn in Sept Tilles. You can make it 7 days by going to Lac St Jean beginning or end.
