From hotel Plante to Baie Blue will be a long haul if you have the wives with you.
Especially if you plan on going to Perce Rock. LaFrancis Hotel in New Richmond would be a good spot if looking to shorten that day up some.
I was thinking exactly the same thing. The picture of your sleds and significant others in front of the Rock is a "must do" on Gaspesie loops. Better leave early from Gaspe.

I sure hope your right. That was simply a money grab last winter.

Great advice by all that have responded and I will plan out a route soon and start calling for reservations.
I have been trying to look at the New Brunswick trail site but it is not up and running for the season yet.
in trying to plan the 1st night how far would you say it is from fort kent to the Quebec system so I can account for that milage when planning on our 1st night ? Last time we rode to mount Joli but I was thinking of maybe going to Amqui this time instead and start from there. Working on the fqmi trail map it is hard to find towns with hotels within 150/175 miles a day . Here is what I came up with and I would like to know any thoughts or adjustments to route along with favorite hotels sights and Restraunts along the route.
1- fort kent to Amqui
2- Amqui to Mount st Pierre or mount Louis or Murdochville
3- st Pierre to Percé via 597
4 Percé to Carlton sur-mer
5 Carlton sur-mer to Campbellton and nb
Here are some of my favorite spots for each of your nights:
1. Amqui - Hotel Select
2. Mont Louis - l' Amarre
3. Perce - La Table a Roland
4. Carleton - Baie Bleue
5. Campbellton - I would stay in Pointe a la Croix at the Interprovincial then cross the river in the morning. ( Mundles Towing will shuttle you across)
Hope some of these ideas help.

Nice pictures. Looks like good going, I suspect it is mostly differdnt areas then sledding. Are you running any trail system or all the forestry road network. 220 miles and in by 4.30pm you must have been smoking along or had good open roads all day. GF and I would really like to run that area next summer stopping at a couple of the outfitters. When is the best time to do that to you avoid their early bear hunts and spring fishing? Would early mid June be the right time?

John Deere 650 groomer! That will make an awesome trail this winter.

Not sure what the Relais will be open this winter, right now it is only open Thursday thru Sunday. I have not stayed at the new motel but looks like a nice spot. Lots of sled tracks going in and out last winter.

It is getting expensive but snowmobile has never been a money making sport. Living in Nova Scotia you can not depend on decent local sledding. I plan at least 3 trips a year in Quebec and pretty much guaranteed good snow conditions every time. That fact alone makes it worth the permit price for me. Luckily for me it is only a 4hr trailer to start in the Gaspesie.

First phase as told to me at La Cache.
new kitchen and restaurant area. New offices for tribes Council as well.
The plan calls for more lodging in the form of stand alone mimi chalets(next phase)
Is the Gespapegiag First Nation band at the end of Hwy 299 the group that owns LaCache?

Fuse6 and Iceman are pointing you on a nice loop. Another possible option on what they suggest is traveling North on the TQ73. Also an awesome trail to get you up toward the Lac St. Jean.

Have never carried gas before last winter. No choice, we were running the stretch you mentioned between Chibugamau and La Dore with the sawmill closed. I bungy corded two 5L gas cans to the running boards, one on each side. I don't like hauling gas but if you want to do that trail you have to or have a buddy with a big can. I have always liked the Northern Loop, my sled buddies both said it was boring. That said, the 373 north of the river is a spectacular trail too.

Great pics Steven, and thanks for post. For several years now we have been hoping to take a ride around gaspe on our side by sides, but haven't made it yet! Did you have any trail issues at all, or was it pretty easy to find trails? We definitely want to put a trip together soon! We are running the same CanAm machines, awesome rides! Thanks, Terry
No issues really. You have to understand right from the start Quebec or at least the Gaspe have a 64" bike width limit. We scraped the fender flares a couple times. Some bridges are very tight and in places they have cement blocks at the width limit. As for riding, the trails are excellent, signage was good, I did have Trax Maps on my Garmin as well. Saw a lot of different country as the trails were different 2/3 of the trip. I would not hesitate coming if you are thinking about it. Quebec has a high quality product for ATV's same as they do snowmobiles. PM if you need more details Terry, I will help in any way I can.

What do you after buying a new side by side?? Go for a ride in the Gaspesie of course. I have never ridden the ATV trails in the Gaspe before and figured it could be as good as snowmobiling. The Girlfriend and I decided to do a quick 4 day tour just to judge travel times and distances before planning a bigger trip. We started in Amqui and rode to Grande Nature the first night. We soon discovered it is easy to cover ground and travel speeds were faster then I expected. The second night we rode to Mont Louis and stayed at L'Marre, an excellent spot with and outside patio bar with a view of the St Lawrence. Third night back to Grande Nature, then back to the truck. Here are a few pictures of our adventure, many will look familiar. Likely only 1/3 of the trip was on sled trails, the rest all new country.
Some of the pictures did not load right, but you get the jist of it. I don't think we would have been able to make the trip 2 weeks sooner, would have been too much snow.

The infrastructure they are putting in is very impressive. They do not chase the cheapest option. Their OHV bridges are world class! The province as a whole is very supportive of motorized sport.
