Mid Range got a reaction from Scranton1 in Another great run up to Parent.
Despite the mild weather which make trails soft, trails are in good shape specially north of ste-anne du lac. Hats off to Piteman and Alliance du nord SC. Everything was freshly groomed. Central was packed friday nite with a "chansonnier". Still some good riding in the upper gatineau and upper laurentians.

Mid Range got a reaction from actionjack in Unexpected dump of snow.
I thought we were cooked for the season with this unusual mild weather but old man winter dumped between 6 to 9 inches of heavy wet snow.Perfect type of snow to keep us going. Did some scouting around maniwaki. Going back to Parent friday morning for the third time...yeah!!! Beer is always good at the central.

Beer is always cold and the hospitality is great at the Central. I never ride past without stopping in.

Mid Range got a reaction from Sled Dog in I'm boycotting QR!
Posting from Pourvoirie Lavérendrye...trail is like a hardwood floor around here(incredible). Yes it's time to get back to Maniwaki before the thaw.

Mid Range got a reaction from doonali in Dravereus trail
Talked with Dominic's wife in Clova. Not looking good for that trail this winter. Groomer issue and too much snow upon the road. But Abitibi is nice so far for us.

Mid Range got a reaction from snowfarmer in trail status mount Laurier Area
Facebook is now a powerful tool for trail conditions. Anyhow we crossed baskatong reservoir yesterday and it is thin with rocks around windigo village but things are improving towards ste-anne du lac. North of ste- anne du lac trails were table top. TQ13 via Notawissi(closed btw) up to mitchi reservoir and down to ste-anne.wow!!
two thumbs up to Piteman SC

Minimal snow in Mt-Laurier area. My bro lives at the Baskatong Reservoir and They have maybe 10-11 inches on the ground. It's brutal cold since Christmas. We need a good snowfall. In the meantime we are in the ''mental toughness'' mode.

Thank you Mid Range I was just as curious as to access to ice and back to trail, figured it would be thick enough. That can now be part of our planned route on 1/14.
Happy New Year

They are the best. But buy two 5/16" stainless eye bolts and save your self $20.
