  2. Establish a permanent trail network. Yes, is easier said then done. But is the only real long term solution. Every journey starts with a single step.

  5. Thank all for the replies. I have been flying in/out of YQB for years and am aware of the process. 17 x 20 is plenty and thanks you Signman!! Staying for a month is an option and a good idea. I'll be in FL and they have flights to YQB daily with one stop, about 6 hours total. A farmer is a great idea. My French is OK enough for simple questions/answers. Best thing about a farm is it's safe and I imagine that they would pull the trailer out with a farm tractor if you let them know ahead of time. Shoveling would be a real bitch, LOL. As far as batteries go I would only leave them 2 weeks max so I think that they would be OK without a battery tender. Mikerider if you come up with some contacts I would greatly appreciate it! FloridaSnowMan in the past used a place near Trois Rivieres, I wonder if he is still around? Best and let's hope for a better 2025!! Fred

    Trailer/Sled storage

I have been trying to track down the same thing. The Fuel and time to drag the trailer from Mass to Quebec City is a waste. If we are in RDL for one trip and then Sag for another and even Three Rivers, its easier and quicker to park it in QC and pay ??? 100.00 a month or so.... I was checking out several places, UHaul storage ( 3-4 locations in the QC area ) use to do it, but no longer. I started looking at RV storage places, as the SnowBirds would be gone for the Winter and have the room at the lots. If you find something let us know. I'll try to remember the place that was looking promising. Later GutZ

  7. The solution can be as simple as, the government that is getting a huge economic benefit from the snowmobile business offer the effected private landowners a break in property taxes they pay. As for the Zec I believe they are crown land with private management rights, tell them to pound sand.

    Trailer/Sled storage

I wonder if anyone can recommend a SAFE place where I can safely store my trailer/sleds (loaded) that is secure and no more then 45 minutes from YQB airport. I'm retiring and will be going back and forth next winter. I would leave a vehicle the airport. I'd need 24/7 access to this facility and likely would rent it form December through March. Any help would be greatly appreciated1 Fred

    Trailer/Sled storage

You are on the right track. Many places offer the outside storage in a secure enclosure. It just gonna need to take a bunch of calling and finding what works. As far as flying into Quebec airport…..from the USA there are Canada customs when you arrive. All flights to USA from Quebec airport go to Montreal or Toronto first to clear USA Customs before flying into USA.

  10. Certianly is the best long term sustainable option. However this is easiest on crown land, much more of a challenge on private. A trail system crossing a piece of private land could be considered a devaluing attribute.

  11. The farmers, the ZEC’s they all want a piece of the pie. Can’t have a trail system without their land, but I don’t know what the long-term solution is.
