Many will know where these pictures are from. This was a trip last February. Unfortunately they don’t groom the east -west trail that leads to the cave from the local trail that runs north and south. So have to ride a few km of ungroomed moguls. Was reading they are trying to discourage people from visiting the cave. 
 

If going up to Lac St Jean would be good if you could include Trail 373 that runs north of the lake. Beautiful ride across there and can see the new bridge that opened last year. Otis Nature is a good place to stay on the east end near trail 373 if it worked into your loop.Last winter we stayed in the newer chalet, had 5 beds in the bottom floor then there is a seperate apartment on second floor, not sure how many beds.

I have seen the pictures but never been lucky enough to get there at the right time.  Don't think it has been possible for a few years.
Not sure about Table du Roland better call ahead for sure.   There are places closing for the winter due to labour shortages,  going to be a season to book in advance for sure.

I was thinking the same thing when I originally saw the announcement. I was also wondering why they couldn't skirt out to the road to get around problem areas. Maybe ther is more to this issue.

They're under 15' of snow when you cross them.  You'd think by mid winter they could just fill the creeks full of snow and carry on.

Their online info says the are open Thursday thru Saturday until 10 PM and Sunday until 7

I recall on these forums quite a number of years ago that the farmers in this area were demanding money from the snowmobile clubs to cross their lands. As best I remember they did get paid. Maybe it is still a yearly thing.

For sure Quebec has it figured out for infrastructure and public buy in.  Snowmobiling is a way of life in PQ.  Trails through towns, on sidewalks, snowmobile silhouettes in crossing lights (La Tuque). Quebec sets the bar high for the rest of the world!

For sure i have not given up yet. I want to know who gets 200k from ville de Saguenay? Landowners for rights of passage? Commercial property that allow passage of trail?

I put a call in to the gentleman mentioned in story as Councilman for Ville Saguenay.
to ask about how the 200k is paid and why and to who.
