I know you got your place already, keep this one in your mind. Auberge du Lac-à-l'Eau-Claire | Hotel | Pays de la motoneige (snowmobilecountry.ca) It has awesome food and accommodations.

When you book Roqemont make sure you get dinner reservations. Place has great food/beer but fills up quick with locals. When you arrive at Fairmont Richelieu pull right up to indoor garage. There is indoor parking then take your bags up to reservation desk. Couple options there for eating from fancy to burger at bar room. There is a under ground tunnel to casino next door and a indoor/outdoor pool that is very warm.

Ok, final totals are in. The highest total was reported by an observer in Hamburg, where 81.2 inches (206 centimeters) of snow accumulation was recorded, followed by Orchard Park, which registered 80 inches exactly. That translates into more than 6½ feet in those areas. Crazy! Chris I think some will still be here in 2 weeks. My bet was with you in the beginning. Not now.😜

While not directly sled related. I want to give a heads up to any of you who use the Tunnel in Montreal to get to your drop spot.
from now until 2025
2 lanes in tunnel open Northbound
1 lane in tunnel open Southbound
depending when you cross there you could be there a long time
they say allow 4 times the normal time to get through.
Its gonna be a shit show there
with 6 lanes open its painful at peek times now just 3 open
ooooofaaaaaaa
Coming from the West on Rt 20, and wanting to be on South side of Saint Lawrence, you will want to use Rt 30. Pretty sure Its a toll road but will be worth it.

Always top notch service at Andre Halle Skidoo, Friday afternoon no exception. They are much bigger than days of old, and a small chain now, went above and beyond. Many thanks!
I borrowed Icemans spare Sena S20 helmet radio for this trip, makes it much easier to make good time without needing to stop each time a simple communication is needed.
Shell gas at Cabano is a mess, there is no longer a “trail”, you have to run the road from the Metro supermarket parking down to the Shell. Wheels down, no problem. Seems each time I deploy the wheels I say in my head…these thing pay for themselves each time you use them 👍
Overall another great day, no whooped out sections, no bare spots, a few dark spots here and there but all still snow/ice covered.
Even into RDL Universal, the recent snow created a layer of white all the way in.
It will deteriorate fast starting with a paved areas and South facing hills, but for now it’s still extremely rideable, even at low elevations. Of course once the grooming stops, that will be the end as well.
Today we were hauling, no stops for scenery photos so you get pics of when we were stopped trailside pit stops:
Nice ride guys! What wheels do you have installed. Never thought I would want them but I said same thing when reverse, mirrors, heated hand grips, heated seat came out. Once you got em you cant go without.

Great trip and report Stan and Bob. We just missed you as we finished the day you started at Universal. We rode thru 3 storms on our 7 day trip. All your great pics are same as ours lol. We even ate at the purple place in your pics. One of our group brought a "Snow Bungie" along and it saved our asses multiple times. Never used one before but they make getting a buried sled out a breeze.

She was still at it today. We were about 45 mins sitting waiting. A group came from the other direction and pushed her past us. Not a fun situation. She was about a 1/4 mile south of the northern most warm up shack on the 595 trail. We met one group that turned around over her. Lots of others coming through. This is not a good situation. Must be something wrong with her to not be timid at all. We should have avoided that trail.
Just saw this we were there also we were the group of five heading north.

Hi Snobeeler, hope your ride is going well.
We are heading to the Gaspe again next Saturday, start riding on Sunday doing similar loop.
Previous 4 times in Gaspe we missed the 595 north from LaCache. Curious how you are incorporating it into your ride?
We only have five days and our wives are on this trip so l think we will start in Mont Joli, when we get to the 595 run down it for 30 km then back track up to the 5 again and end up in Cap Chat or SAint Ann du Monts for the night.
We are staying at hotels in the order I listed above to Stan, follow on the map. We will hit 595 north twice. We have seen moose in that section 3 times in the past.

Ya, you were right. 80 plus inches to nothing in 2 weeks.
