What are your favorite trailside food stops?

Now that the season is winding down....and yes I am bored and have waaaaay too much time on my hands...I thought I'd post a survey/opinion question. No real right or wrong answer...just opinion.

To me snowmobiling in Quebec, or anywhere for that matter is only made better when there are good places to stop along the way to eat. I have actually based my trail trips on a particular restaurant that had food I liked. I thought it would be fun to ask the masses what their favorite trailside restaurant is? You can list a few in order of like....and if you want to the favorite food item they serve? Please be sure to list the town in case those reading want to try their food as well. For me this is my list:

1 Cullere a Pot (St Donat) - Turkey Club Sandwich :good:

2 Real Masse (St Zenon) - Cheeseburger/poutine :hi:

3 Domaine Bazinet (St Emile) - Rainbow Trout Pizza :yahoo:

4 Mr. Pizza (St Donat) - Club Sandwich and French onion soup :clapping:

Does anyone remember the "All You Can Eat" roast beef dinner at La Glacier, and then in later years Cabanon. Man did that meat look good hanging on the hook with heat lamp.

Yep,Used to stay there the third week in January every year from 1980 til 2007.A few of our group still go.

How about the flavored butter bread grill?

Dark beer braised sweet cote levee @ Le Trou du Diable brewery in Shawinigan.

Demi poulet w/sweet potato frites @ any Rôtisserie St-Hubert.

Hawaiian pizza @ St Ubalde Motel (unlikely I know).

Clem's meat pie @ Relais la Marmite in Riviere-A-Pierre (also pretty close on the breakfast buffet @ Universal in RDL).

Steak Frites @ Hotel & Cie in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts.

Sugar pie anywhere.

And a new fav this year: BACON PIZZA AT THE LUNCHEONETTE ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE MOTEL IN CAUSAPSCAL (always best when consumed with everyone's favorite Groomer)!

Trailblazer....you get bonus points for actually posting a picture of one of your favorite meals! That makes me hungry looking at it! :hi:

It wasn't until we started riding in Canada, that we experienced baked beans with breakfast. Not something common in the states. Also, I thought I ordered pancakes once and got crepes? :acute:

Playhard- That is some listing. I might have to plan a ride to some of those locations to try some of that! Hawaiian Pizza is awesome.

Yes, how could I forget Lou Lou's. Surf and Turf was $19. Prime Rib Thursdays was $10. NHSM we definatly crossed paths back then. I remember one night hearing a couple gun shots 3am late 80's. Next morning found out it was owners son shooting at potential thieves trying to get our sleds on left end of motel.

Lou lou's was great as long as you didn,t move the tables around. Pierette would get pretty upset. She and Yevonne are still living across the street from the restaurant. Yevonne sits in the big picture window and watches all the sleds go by. If you wave he'll give a big wave back.

My favorites are Au Vieux Moulin A Scie [ the sawmill] in St Michele des Saints Dore Almondine Walleye served over a bed of rice .

Lacabanon They still do the hanging beef on Saturday night if the motel is full.

Cabane Chez Hill [cabin on the hill] west of Grand Mere. they used to serve Meat Pie. A pie with regular crust filled with beef, veal, and pork mixture along with potatoes , gravey, and vegetable. It was great on a cold day 70 miles from our motel.

Keep em coming. Combat

I'm too impatient to sit for lunch while riding coffee maybe I do bring snacks just incase day trips I'll stop if no crowds

Hmmm?? Sounds like riding with Andyman and his infamous "Bait and Switch Tours"!! You sit at the bar the night before planing the next days ride and where you will have breakfast and lunch through the next day. However deep down you know you might have breakfast or you might have lunch......but you are going to have both!! A quick coffee is often considered a hearty lunch to Andyman!!
