This is the 62Litre (?) linq hard plastic case. Inside the case is a soft-handled canvas bag (extra $) that fosters easy removal & packing of its contents, and transfer to & from the lodge. If you so choose to remove the hard case from the sled, the hard-pack has molded handles allowing it to be easily carried. Since its inception, we have found the accessory to be a saddlebag game-changer.
A LINQ gas caddy can be mounted on the top. I have run the latter. With the extra weight & being on top, it definitely alters the machine's handling, but it is adaptable once you get the feel of it.
When the gas caddy is not needed, the hard case, combined with the soft bags, is a pleasure/no-brainer to saddlebag with, and also perfect for day trips. Added bonus, there is no way the contents can get wet. When closed, it is "air-tight".
Downside? It is expensive, but it will last the lifetime of the Linq mounting system. Meaning until Ski-Doo changes it up and forces us into new mounts (ha ha). That is how well the plastic mold was manufactured.
No regrets here.
