Adapt is right. With all due respect while you are 100% right about sledders re-engaging in areas besides Quebec because of the border closed. Once you have ridden Quebec it’s extremely hard to go to anywhere else, now I know that Maine for sure has some nice trail(though I have never been there) and I never been to the UP so that I can only go by what I have heard. But as far as NY and Vermont, New Hampshire. You cannot compare any of these networks to Quebec. I would be up on a bridge somewhere ready to jump if I was in the states and could not get to Quebec to ride due to border closed and very much understand how the real Quebecriders are feeling.....Sledders need to sled it’s a special time of the year. That said those who ride Quebec and are riders. Will be back.

We just booked our January trip for Maine. This would be 18-20 yrs that we have done our January trip in Quebec with the same group of guys. With the uncertainty with crossing the border we decided to do Maine. Maybe February or March we can get back to the Real thing ! Thinking about Wyoming in February with the bride, it’s been 25 years. We were there for our 10th wedding anniversary. Man time flies ! !

Josie has become the kayak dog my wife had hoped for.  She rides along great, jumps out and likes to run the shoreline, and also enjoys a good swim alongside the kayak. Just got home from a few weeks retreating in the mountains.  She is wiped.

I earlier posted about National Geographic being at the camp to film a series. Apparently its legit, by the time we left there was a crew of about 40 people from all over the country. I won't give away the story but it sounds like it could be interesting.  Will be shot in the far backwoods at 18 remote sites in the middle of nowhere.  I did see a map left on the office table one day so I got to see all the locations. A fairly young crowd and they were all exceptionally nice.  May be aired next spring or summer on the NG channel or History Channel, which I guess are all under the umbrella of Disney.

Maine has a huge loon count, and on these wilderness lakes the loons like to gather from all over the lake each morning, and as it happens, they do so right in front of the dining hall.  Loons hate it when small planes go overhead and get really pissed. So one morning the film crew sent out a drone to film the loons. The loons at first went nuts and started their panic calls. Then they started diving. About 15 minutes into this, the loons all lined up and started swimming, following the drone like it was their fearless leader. Pretty funny stuff.

Here is how much of an Idiot Cuomo is.

approval given for MTV music awards

    But

    9/11 Memorial Tribute denied.

He should be very proud. He surely does not remember or respect what really matters.

Time for a revolution New Yorkers, Rise Up, take it back.

NYC is a mess. Drove the wife into Manhattan this morning to drop off paperwork and this is what is going on in Midtown at 8:00 AM. Both guys shooting up.

Pipemaster,               Looks like you did a great job of bringing an old Whaler back to life.  I used to see these boats everywhere, so popular. Then I guess they got a little pricey. And that 3                                            cylinder Johnson is the ACE motor of outboards,

Thanks Mike,New Whalers are very pricey. My buddy has a 1973 17’ center console also. Hard to kill

good luck on the test run

    Thanks Ice,

BOAT , I wish it was a thousand. It always seems to be much more !

The bigger the boat the bigger that hole gets !

I’ll post a pic when she’s in the water

  6. My buddy had this sitting in his driveway over 4 years so I put some air in the tires and off to my shop. 1988 boat motor and trailer. 15’ Boston Whaler Sport , 70 HP Johnson and Highlander trailer. Boat used in salt water so trailer got new tires, rims, bearing & races, bearing buddies, new wiring & lights, used SS winch and carpeted runners. Boat had small fire from fireworks and has been siting since 2013 so lots of elbow grease, new mahogany, new battery, new lenses And LED bulbs for lights. We had motor running with ear muffs so it’s off to marina for final checkup and She should be in the water maybe next weekend as the marinas are very busy.

Yeah, then an hour later Emperor/Governor Cuomo announced that it's not for NYC Mayor Dillweed to make those decisions.

These two Jerkoffs have been pissing on each other forever. Andy has had his troopers on the bridges, city beaches and even roaming around in our small Village in Nassau county for years now.. Warren Wilhelm Jr. ( DeBlasio )is a Joke ! They need to work together on this !

  8. After starting in the Catskills, Old Forge & Pittsburgh wife and I went to Idaho/ West Yellowstone on our own and had a blast. Then a Decker tour of the UP and the wife liked the tour thing. Then on a trip to Pittsburgh wife and I and my 2 brothers rode into Quebec and did a loop back through Vermont back to Pittsburgh and I knew I was on to something ! Our first trip to Quebec was in 98 on a Nordic Evasion tour from Montabello to Fer Chavel and back and that was it ! The guide was Lawrence Langevin who was the first ever President of the FCMQ, Great Guy ! We rode with Lawrence a couple years and unfortunately he passed away.  ( Lawrence was on that ride in 1975 that Iceman posted a video of )Then heard about New England Bob and rode with him a few times and then we were off to the races ! This was season 22 for the wife and I in Quebec and it’s still as good as it gets !

Thanks to all the Clubs ,volunteers and all the Great people of Quebec who make it all happen.

And of course a big thanks to everyone on Quebec Rider
