spent the weekend in town ....in the morning went to the falls...to see salmons ...no luck ...only 1 jumping ...
then up the small falls and the marsh ...
spent the night outside taking pics of sunset and then , looking like a tourist ...i went back to the new bridge and the '' forks '' for some night pics !!!

if you look closely ...i guess its more the upper section of the trailer who could nt support the weight of everything .
the owner made a big mistake.....between the trees and no wind at all ...about 15 miles from my camp ....my biggest ride ...about 100 miles

no....yes, spraying for budworms last sunday morning ....flying behind the mill and next to shortcut for clubhouse
last wednesday ...at least 2 planes spraying somewhere next to my camp ....could hear them from work...coming from matane i guess
2 helicopters....airport in town ...one came last week next to my work and turning around over my truck...could see pilot making u-turns and donuts !!!

gas down to 2 11 ...saw that today ....yaaa...not too funny !!!
some ride along the sidewalk....don t like that much...i could do that ....to the grocery up tp the auberge.....or higher toward ste marguerite....i could use the old logging rd behind the first gas station when you come from ns....i don t need to go to the mills
i don t like to put garlands on my 4w.....my plate is in truck ...i won t drill holes to install it on my 4w...hate to carry papers...driver licences ...insurances...etc...no thx
it ll be rock 'n roll tomorrow.....31 c today ...and it ll be monday ...ahaha

sorry for the long wait ...
well , i wanted to take a break.....i got bored in april driving always the same roads to take pics....
then , i realized that i could nt leave home with my 4w to go riding on the z e c ...there was 2 entrances for my street , one has been closed....the one closed was the one i was using to go in the woods
complaint from a person in town ....or bs between 2.....
so, now i must carry my 4w with my truck for 2 miles in town ....then go riding...i did it so many times for the dealership ...sick and tired to load and unload..i rode 3 rides...about 225 miles ...so, not much pics
took my last ride 3 or 4 weeks ago ....no camp yet ....my pics average is on the way down....
saw friends last night and they told me that its time to cut the grass....
then , my boss surprised me....im doing '' commercial thinning '' with chainsaw...never expected that ....tough for my back ....tbk !!!....still not 100% shape...ahaha
....and so-so weather....
friend of mine works on park matane....still some spots of snow...as of last week...
yesterday was '' la st jean baptiste ''...so, inauguration of the new bridge in town......took a few pics
beside that , very quiet
everything liquid is more expensive now.......gas , beer and wine ...
gas went up to 2 24... 2 weeks ago....friend of mine works for h-q ....he went to manic 5 dam about 1 month ago.....2 45 l
so , thats about it !!!

i had a 4w riding the old portage trail for lumberjacks back in the old days....
while riding , i had the feeling that something was '' racing '' with me....going under the 4w and the side
so , i finally saw that little monster try to hide from me...
thats 400' away from the camp...you should recognize the big tree !!!

last week or 2 weeks ago , saw a video from a guy from st alexis / st francois area showing the potholes on the bridge next to matapedia......crossing to nb...you could see the steel rods in some holes...very deep and very rough
so, last night , i stopped at the bridge to take a few pics of the river...and i had forgotten about that video....so , parked my truck next to bridge and started to walk toward it ...
once on the bridge , trucker coming from nb entering the bridge and listening to the sound of the trailer ,he was empty
ding-ding-ding -bing-bang-ding -ding while he was driving in the potholes...
he was going maybe 3 mph....very slow...took almost 2 mins to cross the bridge
sorry for the quebec word .....but i had my '' oh tbk '' moment...
i had already started taking pics and suddenly ... my camera was moving right to left ...could feel the '' swing '' on the bridge
all the street lights ...light poles were shaking ....even the bulb on top ...ding-ding-ding !!!
when trucker passed by me ....looking at me ...meaning '' bumpy tbk ''
i could nt believe and shaky it was...
between matapedia and campbellton ...still frozen ...last week ...hovercraft was in campbellton breaking ice...
looks like they made only a few '' donuts '' next to the bridge between cross point and campbellton...

I borrowed Icemans spare Sena S20 helmet radio for this trip, makes it much easier to make good time without needing to stop each time a simple communication is needed.
Shell gas at Cabano is a mess, there is no longer a “trail”, you have to run the road from the Metro supermarket parking down to the Shell. Wheels down, no problem. Seems each time I deploy the wheels I say in my head…these thing pay for themselves each time you use them 👍
Overall another great day, no whooped out sections, no bare spots, a few dark spots here and there but all still snow/ice covered.
Even into RDL Universal, the recent snow created a layer of white all the way in.
It will deteriorate fast starting with a paved areas and South facing hills, but for now it’s still extremely rideable, even at low elevations. Of course once the grooming stops, that will be the end as well.
Today we were hauling, no stops for scenery photos so you get pics of when we were stopped trailside pit stops:
