Fuse6 got a reaction from iceman in 2023-2024 Shawinigan Snow Reports
That’s positive. Should be some moisture in that snow so will be ideal for packing.

Fuse6 got a reaction from iceman in New GPS Unit on the way
I had a Montana 610 for years. Two years ago switched to a Montana 750i. Really disappointed with it. Like Iceman said certain light conditions can’t see the screen at all. Really aggravating . The freezing up is a know issue with them also.
l hope to switch to a Tread at some point.

Fuse6 got a reaction from nyskidooerinnewhampshire in Rooms Available At LaCache This Winter
LaCache called me and confirmed our room reservations for this coming February.
A month ago when l emailed them they were taking names and requested dates. Said they were renovating 6 rooms .
l have seen pictures of the new additions, not sure where or what part of the building these rooms are. The 3 rooms we booked have 2 beds each.

I believe things are going to be booked ahead this year. Reservations a must. Hoping next winter LaCache will have cabins to rent.

Fuse6 got a reaction from smclelan in New Gas at La Martre
Surprised there’s not more of these unattended pumps in rural Quebec . A slick setup. Like Steven said was always a bit tricky for the first guy to figure out the Cardlock procedure.
Last February we rolled in there mid day and there was a group of mostly older Yamahas at the pump. The cardlock system had a technical issue so no one was getting gas. We were heading west so had lots of fuel to get to Cap Chat. They were heading east and concerned about making it to Mont Louis. I offered them the gas l had in my caddy but they didn’t take it. Hopefully they made it.

A right of passage for a true QuebecRider to have a picture with their sled in the mouth of the cave.

Fuse6 reacted to JLRICH in Chic Chocs
Hey all, had a once in a lifetime trip planned coming from southern NB to the Gaspe trails. The highlight of the trip was to be the trail through the Chic Choc mountains. Now hearing that the trail is closed I’m wondering if we should postpone till next year. Never been there, too old to go twice so looking opinions. I feel like the trip will be phenomenal regardless but hate to miss out on the mountain range.

We were at the cave last winter. The trail that leads to the cave isn’t groomed anymore. Trail is still there and you can ride it, just whooped out bad. Read they were trying to discourage people from visiting the cave.

Great idea Towing.
Many will know where these pictures are from. This was a trip last February. Unfortunately they don’t groom the east -west trail that leads to the cave from the local trail that runs north and south. So have to ride a few km of ungroomed moguls. Was reading they are trying to discourage people from visiting the cave.

Everyone has there favourite areas of Quebec , here’s some of ours.
1. Gaspe Bay, I would say the most scenic region of Quebec. The loop shown on the map would be a 5-6 day trip. Every day is scenic riding .
2. Quebec City- Lac St Jean-Mont Valin also a great ride with lots of scenic areas. Loop l show here is trip my wife and l did last March. If you want more miles then include a loop around Lac St Jean, if going around the lake be sure to include riding trail 373 north of the lake.

Brought it in the garage to change some clutching and install my “Quebec” windshield instead of the 3 inch tall one that came with.

Sandi, it'll be a tough year for the crew to keep up with us. Yellow is fastest!!!

RAVE RE and Renegade are both 137. Renegade XRS has the best suspension Ski-Doo offers in a trail sled. Lynx is next step up, more like a "XRS+". It's geared towards stability in the bumps. Sit and cruise guys will be more happy with the Ski-Doo options. I like them both 😏

Fuse6 reacted to PISTON LAKE CRUISER in Must See Destinations?
It depends how much time you have and what you are looking for. Personally, If you are going to Gaspe and sticking to trail 5 east from Pocatiere, there really isn't alot of good scenery until the Matane area. If your time is limited I would suggest a Rimouski or Mont Joli start. JMHO

If going up to Lac St Jean would be good if you could include Trail 373 that runs north of the lake. Beautiful ride across there and can see the new bridge that opened last year. Otis Nature is a good place to stay on the east end near trail 373 if it worked into your loop.Last winter we stayed in the newer chalet, had 5 beds in the bottom floor then there is a seperate apartment on second floor, not sure how many beds.
