WOW. This topic hit close to home. Having personally been the recipient/life-saver patient of a $46K, 30-mile one-way helicopter medical transport here in the States (Ascending Aortic Dissection -12/12/2022), where every minute counted, I know the importance of this emergent luxury service firsthand. Probably the majority of us on this platform will agree that the lowest price is not necessarily the best, nor is the most expensive bid a guarantee that it is the best. Much like a D.E.I. hire is not necessarily the best option. When it comes to a sensitive, life-saving topic such as air medical transport, you must go with the most qualified within your budget. Praying the powers that be regroup, revisit all available options, and go with the best bang for the buck and the best qualified. 17M is a huge cost-saving measure that can't be overlooked or disregarded, but what are they not providing? Please compare apples to apples. It is a life-and-death equation.
