Snowmobilers,
The Alliance du Nord snowmobile club would like to take a few minutes of your time to give you an update.
Over the past few years, the club has experienced several unfortunate events, which have put it in a difficult financial situation.
On October 24, a new board of directors was created with people who are very courageous in taking on the challenge. Some are former members who have the courage to participate in the restructuring of the club.
We cannot hide from you that this is quite a challenge.
The snowmobile club's ULTIMATE goal is to maintain the connection between the ABITIBI, LAURENTIDES, and MAURICIE regions.
To do so, the board has decided to give up one trail. Therefore, for the 2025-2026 season, the Lion de Senneterre snowmobile club will maintain the connection up to the intersection of #83 and #13. The section from Parent to Wemotaci and the #13 Mitchi/Bazin trail sector will be under the responsibility of the Club Alliance du Nord.
This decision was not an easy one to make, but given the club's financial situation and the acute shortage of staff and volunteers, the club had no other choice.
The groomer for Parent/Wemotaci and Pourvoirie Fer à Cheval/Parent will be in operation between Christmas and New Year's Day.
Thank you for your patience once again...we understand the importance of reopening the trails as soon as possible, but we must work with the resources we have available.
