Trip 3 Gaspesie and Sept Iles
I am late getting this out, my hat is off to the riders that post every night during their trip. I don't seemed to be as organized.
Day 1 Headed out Feb 12th from Pointe a la Croix, myself, Kelly (GF), and two guys from Riverview NB. Rode first day to New Richmond, up the 595 to La Cache for a late lunch. Really nice set up there now, however they could use a few more menu options. From there a leisurely drive to the Copper in Murdochville. I told Kelly to be considered a true sledders you have to stay at least on night at the Copper. Walked next door to the Chic Chat for supper, a good spot, lots of people.
Day 2. North on the 597 to the TQ 5 then turned west. Awesome Blue Bird day through the lookouts around MSP stop at Grande Nature for a visit and through to St Adelme and overnighted at Motel M. Great little spot right beside the Relais where we walked for supper.
Day 3 Pulled out of St Adelme at 6:30, pulled into the ferry terminal at 7:05 to catch the 8am ferry to Godbout. Waved to Wng2 who was waiting in line to get on the boat. Trail from Godbout to Sept Iles was nothing less then spectacular. Kelly got a 2024 Renegade 900 Turbo this year and stretched it out past 100kph on some of the straight aways! Rode between 70-100 most of the trip. Stayed at the Comfort Inn Sept Iles for the night and had supper next door at the Chinese food restaurant.
Day 4 Out the door and West bound past Godbout onto the roller coaster to Baie Comeau. Had a late day snack at the ski hill in BC, then caught the 5pm ferry to Matane. Checked into the Quality Inn for the night, supper in the restaurant.
Day 5. Left Matane west, down the 591 through Saybec to St Irene for early lunch. From there the bad part started....heading to the truck. Nice trip perfect trails and no mechanical issues. 1300km. A few pics from our adventure.
