racersinc, Mich rev, Mark and I rode 220 miles today. We went to St Rose, KM 31 for lunch, the look out off Bras Louis and back to the HI. This was truly an "I B" dayn for sure. Bright blue skies, 0F went we left, 26F at luch time and 15F when we got back in. It don't get no better than a day like today.

Brian,

I live in NC, my brother in SC. We used to live in North Bay, ON and picked up the bug there. We've flown either into Quebec City or into Burlington, VT. Last 2 years have been VT (much cheaper), but the 7 hour drive smokes a sled day so it's Quebec City this year. Last year we stayed at the HI and rented Yamis from BDL Sports Loisirs in Chicoutimi Nord. You all cover a lot more ground than we do and sounds like you've got it nailed. With what you've described we might in the future look at renting out of Quebec and saddlebag north and back - sounds like that would be a great run.

Thanks for the info!

Richard

FYI - there is an airport with commercial service right up the trail in St Foy (Quebec Inn). My buddy has looked into flights there from HTFD. Good luck!

If I told you who is Irving Berlin would you know? If not do a search. One of the all time song writers. He rode

"Blue Skies" Look it up, that will explain what I mean by an "I B" day.

Every year someone asks... :rofl::clapping::good:

With any luck Dom & I will be at the HI sometime the week of 2/21...Save some snow for us.

Got 16" here in the Lehigh Valley PA yesterday, wish I could have sent it to you. Just a P I T A here.

Today Snomogary, Mrs Snomogary and I rode 145 miles. We had lunch at Scooby Raid. Nice day, not an "I B" day but a nice day. By the way I B lived to be 100. He had a summer place about 10 miles from where I was brought up. LongriderSS and 5 buddies just cam in and bought passes from me. thanks longriderSS.

Got my 06 back today. Got to love the SD warranty. 18,750 miles on it and the warranty is still good.

Bill , we got back to N.H. Tuesday , my father went for x-ray on Wednesday , no broken ribs , so I guess he can ride again after his sled gets fixed. I'll let you know what the estimate is for laughs. I'll tell him to keep it on the trail next time. Probably see you in a few weeks.

Glad to hear about your Dad. I would not be surprised if the sled is not totaled by the Insurance Co. Hope to see you soon.

Snomogary, Mrs Snomogary and I rode 100 miles today. Went out 383/368/23, across Lac Vert to 83 and back. Trails 368 had been groomed and had about 3" of new soft snow on it which made steering difficult for Mrs Snomogary plus the rental Polaris she rides has worn out carbides on it which made it more difficult for her. After the first 70 miles she was worn out. So we had for the HI.

X2 here, made it back to Michigan with no problems. Had a great time. It's nice to be around people who have the same passion for snowmobiling that you do. Bill, thanks for everything, it's nice following behind a guy who doesn't need a map! It was also nice to put faces with names here on Quebecrider.com. Mikerider and 182Ray and racersinc, it was nice to meet you guys and we enjoyed riding with you. Also enjoyed riding with the Ontario guys, Al, Kevin and Larry. A special thanks to Larry who towed me the 11 miles back to the HI when I ran out of gas. I'll fix that problem by next year, I'll get a new sled! Again, thanks to all, already looking forward to next year, Dave

Today was a great day weather wise and trail wise. sas, John and I rode 190 miles. On the Orange trail the runs between 93 in St Jeanne de Arc and 367 we encountered a very wet swamp. One of our sleds got stuck for about 20 in the water/snow when we tried to go around a wet area. Had lunch at the "Best Place in Town", Milot Truck Stop. While going past the Club House in Milot we watched a couple of laps of lawn tractors racing each other. The lawn tractors had snowmobile engines in them and they were turning some fast laps. Went on to Scooby Raid and they had vintage races going on there. Watched them for about an hour and then rode back to the HI. Great day.

ON THE COVER OF THE ROLLING STONE!

Couple weeks ago while riding from the HI towards the Casino/Castle, 182Ray, Farmerold and I ran into Snowtrails TV out of Michigan. They were doing a story on sledding in Quebec. We met the crew at an intersection and they did a long interview with us.

The episide is now on-line for viewing. We got our 15 minutes of fame, but when the film hit the cutting room, 15 minutes became about 3 seconds. You can see us about 5 or so minutes into the episode.

This episode is currently available to view on their website. Sounds like next season they may have more footage.

Boulanais Relais waitress got more airtime than us, go figure?? (I know, very bad spelling).

Mike, my friend and I did a photo shoot for Super Trax 8 years ago in St Zenon, spent the whole day with them and we managed to be part of a photo in the article but were never mentioned.....the article amazed us....it really had nothing to do with anything that was said or done that day....but it was fun. thanks for your trail reports this season, we will be riding the Vallins area next week,,,we are leaving from Shawinigan on Tuesday.
