slimjim2525
I am looking to set up my own trip in Quebec for this coming winter. Thinking 10 to 12 days or so. I am having a hard time with the interactive trail map on the FCMQ site, as it doesnt list many hotels to stay. Is there a way i can get all the paper maps from the regions to make a better plan? Mid Range
You can order the paper maps from the 13 regions over here.. You need to browse thru their own website. I order them every year from their respective touristic association. Put your pointer over explore Quebec and see the drop down menu. https://fcmq.qc.ca/en/explore-quebec/ Edited July 26, 2018 by Mid Range
actionjack
There are some waypoint repositories here in the Waypoint sticky thread. That plus Basecamp, Trakmaps, Googlemaps, and iMotoneige will get you almost anywhere. As a signed in user to Google you can save (star or bookmark) places on Google maps so use your GPSr to guide you 99% of the way then use google maps once you are close. Usually signage works for the last Klick too. So when I have a trip planned I use the interactive map and google maps to back and forth to make sure I can get from the trail to the place want to go. Several starred places in google maps and waypoint file I got from here in GPS Kit app.

Shore1066
I feel the best hotels and restaurants are gotten by word of mouth. If you start talking about a route you might take on this site people will tell the good and the different. In 10 to 12 days you are going to hear about and see many many signs for hotels on the trail. By the 7th day you may even have enough information about places you may change your mind where you had planned to stay. Don't fear just get on your snowmobile and enjoy. Get a place in mind and call at 3 in the afternoon and if they are full they will help you find a place. The greatest place to snowmobile and the nicest people to stay with. Have fun. Shore1066
My kid and I are going to get dropped off on the western part of Quebec in early February, Timiscaming area, and go north to Matagami, south to 93 then north to Chibugamu, south to the Delta, then to St Raymond area and meet a group. This group will bring trailers enough to get us back home. But first we heading north on 3 to catch the ferry to Matane. The south to Levis to be trailed across the river and the back to the truck. Can't wait for winter. Sure hope my plan works. LOL

St.Felicien Le Jardins, Chibougamau Le Nordic, Senneterre Senabi and back to Mt.Laurier or visa versa, of course there are plenty of others in these towns, these I mentioned are snowmobile friendly. I have stayed at the Roquemont in St. Raymond, in fact started there last year. And in Mont Laurier, usually stay at the Quality Inn. Just not sure where to stay up around Lac St. Jean and heading east and over the Saguenay river. Stayed at KM 31 and was not impressed.
