Day 6 final day 230 miles. Headed out over to LaSarre this morning the first 35-40 miles was pure white carpet the type of thing snowmobilers dream about with the fresh snow from last night the sun coming out, and the snow covered trees made for an unforgettable ride. Did a couple of the loop trials north of LaSarre all of which are totally awesome then headed over to La Reine which is right on the Quebec/ Ontario border you get there by running about 10 miles of rail bed, which again was pure white carpet. At the end of the rail bad we ventured into Ontario for a bit via the same rail bed which is unmaintained into Ontario side but still a fun Boondocking experience. Then made our way back to Amos via TQ 93. Another epic day to finish out an epic riding week. Anyone who wasn’t up here missed out on some amazing conditions. Hard to believe the weather for the next 48 hours which looks downright horrible Hopefully this area makes it though. I hope everyone enjoyed following along, and I just made a few people jealous along the way!

Such beautiful trails, will 2 mild days and 5- 10mm of rain on Tues/Wed be enough to end it ?
It’s hard to say they have a lot of snow here, but warm temps and rain will do a lot of damage. The weather for the next 10 days looks absolutely horrible thinking this season is close to being over in most areas of Quebec.

Day 5 215 total miles. A bit of a snowy day today so not as many pictures they don’t look as pretty haha. Tons of sleds today guess everybody is out anticipating, perhaps the end of the riding season unfortunately. Since all the traffic trails were a bit more bumpier than normal, but still not bad at all. Decided to head down to Rapide 7 so left amos south to Rivière-Héva then to Malartic then continued down the 309 to Rapide 7. Back up 309 then into Val’dor and then snaked our way back to Amos the long way!

Day 4: 298 total miles epic day! More amazing riding cold nights and days really make excellent trails! 90% of the trails today were 9.5/10 just simply awesome! Today ride took us from Amos over to Seneterre then up to Quévillon the the trail between the two places which is TQ93 might be one of the best stretches of trail I’ve ever ridden in Quebec! After lunch in Quévillon back down 93 to Seneterre then continuing south to Lac Simon for fuel. After that we did a loop north of Val’dor to take us back into Amos!

Next time I need to listen to you. Did you need your spare gas often on those high speed trails? I think my 600R would be out at the 100 mile mark.
mike
You definitely should have come along! I’ve used it once or twice there’s actually pretty many gas stations here to refill I’m maxing out like 105-110 miles per tank

Day3: 254 total miles. The temperature dropped like a rock last night making for excellent trails all day lost count of all the groomers I passed trails are on tip top shape here! Was a very cold day high of only 3 or so but that makes for the best conditions! Todays ride took us south of Amos to Malartic to top off fuel then over to Rouyn then up to La Sarre then back over to Amos to complete the loop all trails were excellent! Anyone who’s not up here is missing out big time. Some pictures from the day enjoy!

This morning there was a nasty freezing mist, but after lunch, the skies cleared up and made for some true Quebec beauty! 280 miles today good day!

Day 1: today went from Amos up to Matagami total miles 253. Great trails the whole way fast running made the miles go by very quickly. Had lunch up there at a nice little restaurant. Met a couple from Ontario heading up to Matagami as well so we all rode up together got to love the snowmobiling community!

Figured I’d post on here in case anyone wants to follow along or is curious of conditions. Trucked up from PA up to Amos at the Amosphere 14hr run but bluebird day made travel easy. Pretty good amount of snow here considering how crappy a year it is grooming map shows lots of activity, so should be some excellent riding. Just doing day trips and big loops each day from Amos might head to Mattagami tomorrow will post report and pics.

Probably A long shot but I’m looking to head up to val’dor-Amos area in the next few days. I have nobody to ride with wondering if there’s anybody up there that will let me tag along in a group I wouldn’t be saddlebagging at all just day trips out of one location. I’m a very experienced rider with a new 2024 sled. Figured I’d throw it out there. Maybe I get lucky

How are things out in the Val’dor-Amos area. Any one with first hand knowledge on the conditions? Any info appreciated. Thanks

Figured I’d start a thread now that the season is upon us. Im thinking of heading up this weekend to Universal and doing some riding anyone have any idea how it is up there. Checking the map most trails are showing yellow and green so I know they’re open but not showing much grooming yet so kind of confused. They’re getting snow again tonight so I’m sure things should be coming along nicely. Any info is appreciated.

Wonder the same thing seems odd

Any way to get the website in English? Have you ridden the trails in the zec and how are they well groomed I assume not much traffic. Where is the main entrance to the private system?

Back home on the black trail today no issues. Left Amos at 3am in a mini blizzard when I got to Syracuse it was 70 , what a winter. Driving though tug hill area couldn’t help but notice there was no snow at all at end of February that has to be a rare rare feat they get the most snow anywhere on the east coast thanks to lake effect. Total miles for the trip was 1500 all of which was great I love the area and will definitely be back!
