Today Skidoo 420, Jak, and GKW and I went to Libby's Camps for lunch. 3 to 4 inches of new snow coated the trees adding to a winter comeback. A couple pics of the trail and Mattagammon Wilderness Store and Restaurant. We are blown away with trail conditions here. The Baxter Inn owner has been so good to us. He has provided our own happy hour room .7 points

Here the ride we did this last saturday february 20, 2021 The snow accumulations of the last weeks have nicely shape up the conditions and although there are still some brownish snow near home in the south, we no longer scrape dirt on the trail base and as soon as we go up north a bit it is very white . Here near Ste-Mélanie ... I have put together a first video of the ride between St-Ambroise de Kildare and St-Côme via #43 trail As per covid's rules, we ate outside on #63 trailside at the Auberge du Vieux Moulin a Scie junction. My Givi has turn into a lunchbox! 😂 and here is a second video, from leaving after lunch up to the Auberge Le Cabanon We then looped in the Mastigouche wildlife reserve by the #350 trail and took the #23 trail to return toward home. Very good conditions, no lack of snow! Trail was more worn by the saturday traffic south from Gabriel de Brandon but everything else before was really nice, a total of 216miles for the whole loop We finally got some nice winter trail conditions... mid february... late is better than never!!! We now touch the best of the season, hoping for the best in the next weeks Alain1 point

Crossing at Montebello
doo4adoo reacted to Trailblazer for a topic
Thanks Sledfarmer, I’ve been crossing it the last few week ends riding to and from my cottage in Duhamel. I made a call to the club president back then and I would like to share with all of you what he said. The trail will be marked closed indefinitely on the FCMQ interactive map from now on. The club will no longer be staking the ice for insurance reasons. However the even though the red line on the interactive map runs up on land for a bit, the trail is still maintained and groomed to the river, while on the river stay with in the tracks that have already be made. Basically follow the river on the north side from Montebello to Fasset where you can cross to Lafavre and catch the Ontario trail system. The crossing at Fasset/Lafavre is staked by the locals.1 point -

LOVE IT Schooter !!!! GREAT pic and yes.....you maybe one of only a small handful of Americans who laid a track down on Canadian snow in 20211 point -
The lodge is just a restaurant. Would not be much to do there. Shin Pond cabins might be good, big field by the cabins, and lake is just down the hill. Is he trail riding. If not I really like Bald Mtn Camps in Rangley, big lake outside the cabins. Restaurant and bar.1 point

Mike Any pics of the cabins or lodge rooms, it seemed like a good place to base out of for a 3-day with Mason and Brothers. He's getting good quick.... too quick.... Leaving his poor Uncle in the Dust!! I did not want to deal with downtown trails in Milli with him. Thanks GutZ1 point

Thanks Don. Its been nice to see you and the Mrs. out on the trail. We are living through the real "Quebec" riders. Its hard to believe there will be no riding this season for us. The boarder closed just after we finished last years ride. We are looking forward to better days.1 point
