scorpionbowl Posted October 2, 2016 Report Share Posted October 2, 2016 Over the next week or so, Quebecrider.com will be going through a software upgrade to the latest version since the current version is no longer supported. In general, everything should be the same, but the look and feel will be different. The format will be the same as slednh.com for those who use that. The new version will have better security and will be more compatible with smartphones and tablets. There may be a few issues during the upgrade, so it's best to get this done before the busy season. Once complete, i'll create a topic for Q&A about using the new version, and another topic to complain about the new version, but I won't be reading that one. The new site will also have a couple of unique tools to help optimize your snowmobile trips in Quebec. The first tool is a collaboration with the farmers almanac and MissCleo.com. After selecting the dates for your trip, and before selecting your hotel, it will tell you where the best trail conditions are. Once you select the trails, it will then narrow down the lodging selections to that area. It's only available after November 1, for reservations until April 15 of the following year. The second tool is a collaboration with Dr. Phil productions. This tool deals with all of the non-trail related issues that face snowmobilers. We've all been there, a new sled, perfect snow and weather, but something else comes up! It's the wife's birthday, Valentine's Day, an anniversary, your buddies wife won't let him go. This tool will help you get through these problems and get you to the trails. During the off season it will help you get that new sled you want or convince the wife that a new truck is best for the family. Premium members will get real time help during the trip, not from Dr. Phil, but one of his many licensed physicians. Who hasn't needed help with the wife when she calls and you're drunk, or you total the sled, or she asks if you've been to a strip club?
