We just rode from Quebec city, Roberval, Chapais, now in Val D Or. everything was very good except 50 miles above Lac Edward. More snow South than North. The run between LaDore and Chaboug was 150 miles between gas. Today we had 160 miles on before noon!

Unfortunately, my trip was cut short by an upper idler wheel in rear suspension. Dealer in Sennetterre tried everywhere to find one with no luck. I can’t believe no dealers have this  vital part in stock. Did get 675 miles in 3 days so not a total loss.

Wow that's way too new of a sled to have that happening on. That sucks. Bummer that your trip is getting cut short. Especially for such a simple item. Maybe worth a call to the dealer in Mont Laurier or Val Dor to see if they can get you one. Tow truck ride to one of those dealerships with sled on board might be less than the cab ride to Quebec City.  Hard to believe that isn't a stock part in every brp dealer.

Was in Val Dor when found, they were no help. Place in Sennetterre tried to help. Other 3 with me had to continue loop. A buddy (good one) came up to rescue me. Just got home, local dealer ordered part. With so many doing loops up there BRP should make dealers have certain parts like this on hand or least one in each region.

Beric Sport in Val d'Or is a big dealer-surprised they didn't have one!

BRP bearings always a strong point.  Shakes my confidence in them to hear this.

I've NEVER had one fail like that. Actually never had one completely fail before I have caught it on a maintenance check and then have replaced VERY few that were still good for a spare. I'm leaning towards something not put on in the correct order (factory or other person) like a washer/bushing,etc. Just a guess. But for a bearing to fail like that at 1400 miles it would have to have had a serious defect. I'm sure you and dealer already have checked but excessive track tension puts a big strain on idlers.
