  3. I can't take credit for this, and I can't remember where I saw it to give credit where it's due, but... Back in the day girls all wanted to be princesses, and guys all wanted to be pirates, but they didn't gouge out one of our eyes give us a patch and cut off one of our legs and give us a peg!

  4. The FCMQ is looking at a rebuild of its APP and are looking for suggestions on how to improve it. Could you provide me with the pros and cons of the current app and what you would like to see in the new app. I will pass your thoughts along to my contact. Thanks Andy

  5. I find it works great. If I am unsure if I passed the trail or whatever, within a couple hundred feet you know.

  6. You can make it route the longer route the way you would like to go by adding waypoints. Pics show shortest and longer route by adding waypoint 1 in yellow.

  7. - The ability to save my planned routes for future reference. - Would be nice if it'd do turn by turn navigation like Google maps for people that miunt their phones while riding. - Snow depth layer never seems to be 100% accurate. Wonder if they can get the data from the NOHRSC data set which seems to be more accurate. - - More emphasis on the clubs to update trail conditions on a regular basis. The groomer tracking is awesome, but seems clubs don't always keep their status up to date. - When a trail is closed don't show groomer tracking. That said the second the trail is listed open show the groomer tracking all the time. There was delays this season where groomers weren't displayed for weeks on end after things were underway. Understand clubs wanting to hide what they're up to until they have a usable product to offer. But we need the tracking as soon as trails open. - Having two seperate ways that closed trails are shown is confusing. If it's closed it should be consistent regardless of what screen you're looking at (trail conditions or groomer delay) - have a new colour (maybe pink) to let clubs identify trails issues and highlight the effected area (logging, major groomer breakdowns, etc.) - make sure improvements don't hinder the apps performance All of this is suggestions, but it's really just nit picking. It's already the best app on the snow hands down.

  8. There are gas stations along the trail that don't show up on the app. I understand that a station likely has to pay to be there but it would be nice for planning The app tends to route you the shortest way, sometime we want to go the longer route. Maybe a button to turn off shortest route.

  9. The app is incredibly useful. Use it all the time. I would love to be able to switch between "North Up' or direction traveling "Up".

  10. I would like to see more purple in the mornings 🙂 In seriousness maybe if the groomers are on the trails this can be shown by a little sports car or similar so we know Thanks

    Birthday Ride

To celebrate my ridding buddy Mikes 72nd birthday we decided to got for a short trip this week. Left Vermont Monday morning and headed for our drop point , Pont Rouge. Got there about noon, unloaded and headed for the Delta. 3 trail was flat and fast to junction of 73. 73 fresh groomed to junction of 23 and we followed the groomer north on 23 to about 15 miles before the first warmup shack. Passed him and 23 showed us the weekend traffic for the next 15 miles. This warmup shack must be a big destination on sunday for the locals, from there north was much better. Quick bite to eat and gas at Le Etape and back on the trail. 23 north was choppy from the weekend, but not to bad. Mt Apica was closed when we went by, may be a Monday thing? Hit the 83 east and it was very good to the Delta. Arrived at 7:00, 210 miles, good first day. This morning we decided to head down the 83 to 383 and to Lanse St Jean. The first mile out of town is pretty thin, but still worth the ride. Trail was very good first 20 miles, then we picked up fresh groomed all the way to St Felix. 383 to gas stop at Lanse St Jean then 301, that was fresh groomed Monday night. Got to 83 and they had about 10 inches of fresh snow from Sunday night. Smooth under the fresh powder so nice trail, they have so much snow on the Clairmont Express you could probably ride until May up here. Left turn on to the 383 and fresh groomed all the way to Ferland for gas stop. Headed out to find fresh groomed again all the way to 368. Have not been through here for a few years and some changes have been done. Lots of logging has widened the trail out and its very nice. The old Bouliare Relay is gone. Not a trace of a building left, hate to see the old places go, but time marches on. Hit Bills trail {368} and fresh groomed out to the 23. Warm up shack at the intersection had burned down early in the season, hope they rebuild in the off season. Up the 23 to 83 and a stop at the Green Frog for a quick beverage. Out on the lake and back to the hotel. 83 east is getting thin in the logged out areas so it wont be long till the end here. Back around 5:00 with 260 miles in the meter. GREAT DAY. Up early this morning. Breakfast at 6:30 and on the trail and headed back to the truck by 7:30. Nice surprise this morning, 83 fresh groomed last night all the way to Lake Kanigami. Blue sky and temp about 15f, makes this trail a quick ride to the lake. Lake is smooth and its a quick ride across. Surprise, fresh groomed last nite to the 23. Headed south to Mt Apica for gas and go, trail good as not much traffic mid week. Fresh groomed to Le Etape. This is one of my favorite trails, Smooth and straight and only saw one sled all morning. From the Le Etape intersection to the first warm up shack was a little bumpy, but it always seems this way. From there it back to St Ray was very good and was fresh groomed from St Ray to Pont Rouge. Back at the truck at 1:00 with 205 miles. What a great last day and season ender. We talked about staying another day, but at our advanced age we both had to be back Thursday for doctor appointments. Glad we can still do it, but this getting old stuff is sometimes getting in the way of ridding. Hope you all have a good summer. Steve

A (Non Computer) friend from Western Mass. is heading to Alma Monday. Sounds like he is meeting some friends from somewhere in Quebec. He is worried about conditions. I would like to pass on any information and recommendations you guys can provide. Thanks very much.

We just rode from la tuque back to the Delta today. The 355 was great except for the few km that was plowed..very bad. Once we got to the lake, the 83 was bad, especially around Chambord. Towards Jonquiere snow picked up, nice in the bush. Around town, not nice. My guess is that Alma will be thin. Good luck...Jeff and Sandy

  35. Hi neksledr, Sorry for late response, but thought I would share this. For some reason that part of 23 does not show up on the normal trail and grooming site. I don’t know if groomer has the gps function or not. But if you go onto St. Raymond trail report it will show when they last groomed that trail to L’Etape and other trails in and around ST. Raymond. https://clubmotoneigest-raymond.com/conditions-sentiers/ Oilman

  44. Todays Run: left Delta and headed for Mt Valin. In town trails all freshly groomed. Go across both bridges and take a right to head for 93. Trail went to 4/10. The quad trail that ran beside it was all freshly groomed, snowmobile trail nope. At least it was a short run to 93. Head east on 93, back to Mint conditions. All good to K31. Had lunch and a splash of fuel and off to St. Ambroise. 93 west to 328 west to 367. All good running. Did a loop in that area and then headed back to the Delta. 175 miles today. Not much traffic at all. Nice to sled mid week for sure.

Trails 9/10 north of L’Etape. Took 23 north to 83 East into the Delta in Jonquiere. Trails again 9/10. Great run 197 Miles. My Girlfriend did great on the 600 Switchback. First time riding in Canada.
