PLAYHARD
Looked like white carpet along and crossing the black trail. Came up the 175 tonight into the Delta. And it's nice & cold. iceman
PLAYHARD
Might have to go over the lake, maybe Roberval - Lac a Jim - Dolbeau, to dodge some rain/mix Wednesday. 182ray and iceman
PLAYHARD
Started light snow today: Then white-out! Then deelish!... Existing hard base with today's half-inch made the carbides extra-grippy! Coulda used more of that in La Baie... Come n get it Ladies & Gents! Tons more neige forecast! snowfarmer, iceman, Scranton1 and 4 others

revct1
Thanks Playhard. We were wondering about Bill because we hadn't seen any posting from him. Get better Bill. There is still some riding to do. Jack & Sandi
mikerider
There are a lot of people on the fence as to where to head to this weekend. Many are scheduled for Riviere du Loup and that is up in the air as to whether the conditions will be okay or not. If someone in Saguenay can update conditions and weather the next couple days, it will be appreciated by many, I am sure. mike momojohnny and sprocket
Saguenay Bill
Monday morning a group of 5, from Harrisburg area left the Delta about 9AM. About 9:30 we had a white out snow squall came thru the area. The trails were icy from Saturday night/Sunday rain. These conditions resulted in this accident. Hit a tree. The man between 55 and 60 suffered 3 broken ribs, cuts and badly broken wrist that required surgery Monday night. He was discharged from the hospital last night around 8PM and the group headed towards home. One lucky guy that he only had the injuries that he had. revct1
Thanks for posting Bill. I would like to mention that the sled is a 1200 SkiDoo with the electronic throttle. Sandi and I have had our issues with the electronic throttle on her 2016 Renegade 1200. I know a lot of riders like it but we have found it to be very sensitive. For model year 2017, SkiDoo has put more spring resistance in the lever. This tells me SkiDoo has had complaints. The 900 ACE isn't as quirky because it isn't as powerful as the 1200. I'm not trying to say anything good or bad but just to pass along what we have found. It takes awhile to get use to the soft touch. MrGutz
I can fix that! I probably have the a-arms in the truck, color may not match!! Glad he's alive! I've noticed an increase in "flat light" this season, and combined with any snow, blown or precipitating, you can't see s#!t. I'm also getting older.... and can't see well. PLAYHARD
True story the base is icy. But also true are the snow forecasts! Heavy n wet all day today! Needed auto-visor-wipers! Soaked to the bone but NO COMPLAINTS! All over Saguenay & LSJ will be excellent for this weekend.

The primary reason for old fashioned STUD's. i noticed he does have the pre studded track which is better than nothing. My riding partner made comment about the remarkable difference he noticed between his ice ripper track (molded stud) and my 96 old fashion studs down the center. Hopeful for a speedy recovery! This experienced rider had zero visibility at that time and hit something with his right ski that made his right hand go "death-grip". The hard berm bounced him off trail to break the ribs & wrist. When his crew came back for him at first they couldn't see him, just a few feet away. We were out at that time too, but luckily without incident. It can happen to anyone... nyskidooerinnewhampshire, 182ray and zeusand

Glenngo
Hello Bill, Any idea why the Roberval area is reporting the poorest conditions in the region? I'm expecting to be back the second week of March if conditions hold as forecast. Sorry I'll miss you on this visit.
