    Over a Foot of Snow

The foot plus of heavy wet snow we received here in Southern Maine would have made a nice base, in January🙄🤪... I am very thankful that I installed a standby generator last year. Currently still close to 300,000 customers still without power state wide. Yesterday A friend asked me if I would be taking my machine out... My machine is going to be my Kubota Tractor with plow and front end loader. After the concrete snow on top soft gravel is dealt with, it's on to downed trees. 😀 Winter Storm 4 April 2024

  9. Sacre-Coeur 1050 heures of grooming this season. about 300 more hours than last season. It looks like the end for us too, our surfacing operations are getting more and more complicated with the hot weather, we still managed to do approximately 1050 hours of surfacing, representing 300 hours more than last year. The road signs will be removed in the coming weeks. We would like to thank our owners for the rights of way and our 330 members for your encouragement and every visitor who takes the time to write to us after their stay to congratulate us. Your comments are always taken into account. We'll be making a final pass to the Valin mountains (c900) and the 330 region later this week.

  13. Establish a permanent trail network. Yes, is easier said then done. But is the only real long term solution. Every journey starts with a single step.

  16. And yet 3 guys die in an avalanche there in late March. Still blows my mind. Hasn’t even been a week yet. I feel so bad for their families and the guy that made it out. I hope they all find peace in time.

Amen. Prayers to the families. You are only fooling yourself if you don't think anytime you saddle up the risk is very high. Ride on in the afterlife our fellow brothers.

  23. The farmers, the ZEC’s they all want a piece of the pie. Can’t have a trail system without their land, but I don’t know what the long-term solution is.

  29. So basically on a good day ...under the right conditions...you might be able to make it from Cabannon to St Michelle...or half way back...I'm going to open a trail recovery and towing service and get paid to be on the trail..maybe the lynQ accessories will include a removable battery pack so you can carry a couple extra fuel cells

  35. Posted by club today I'm writing to you this morning, disheartened and angry. A snowmobiler has found it clever to go off-trail on private land, a maple sirop producer. Despite the very visible signs indicating a very fragile right-of-way, this could very well cost us a right-of-way. The club has invested time and money, only to have it all ruined by a person who disrespected us all! A search is underway to find him, and he will have to pay for this trespass.

  36. It’s like The Lewis and Clark Expedition.. everything they are seeing is new and wild… completely on their own…and this trip isn’t one where you worry about what you are spending…these sleds will have some patina on them at the end that’s for sure

We all look forward to the adventure this sport affords us , our friends and families each season...often it seems like there isn't much left legal that's still offers this much excitement and fun...and every now and then...when we least expect ...something tragic happens...last season snowmaster and his friends narrowly escaped a tragic ending at one of these moments...it leaves us silenced trying to reflect on what has happened...there are no good words at this time...may peace soon be with there families.
