OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF THE PROJECT TO RECONSTRUCT THE BRIDGES ON THE TQ-93 SNOWMOBILE TRAIL BETWEEN LA DORÉ AND CHIBOUGAMAU.
Chibougamau, December 19, 2025 — The Chibougamau Snowmobile Club is pleased to announce the official launch of the project to rebuild the bridges on the Trans-Québec 93 (TQ-93) snowmobile trail, connecting La Doré to Chibougamau.
The work is scheduled to be completed in mid-January 2026.
Work is scheduled to be completed in mid-January 2026.
This strategic portion of the provincial network, which has been inaccessible for over a year due to the closure of the Chigoubiche River bridge in Ashuapmushuan Park, will be open again to snowmobilers for the 2026 season once the work is completed.
A collective commitment to the revival of the TQ-93 trail.
Thanks to the concerted efforts of club volunteers, local partners, and regional authorities, sustainable solutions have been put in place to allow for the safe resumption of activities on this section. A total of seven bridges and culverts will be rebuilt, strengthening the trail's infrastructure and ensuring its sustainability for years to come.
The reconstruction, estimated at nearly $1 million, is the result of a collaboration between:
• Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MRNF)
• Société du Plan Nord (SPN)
• Fédération des clubs de motoneigistes du Québec (FCMQ)
• MRC Domaine-du-Roy
• Les loups du Nord snowmobile club
• Chibougamau snowmobile club
• Caisse Desjardins du Domaine du Roy et de Chibougamau
• Coalition Avenir Québec member for the riding of Ungava, Mr. Denis Lamothe
