    Hello Quebecriders

We just left Drakkar this afternoon. The trail leaves right from his parking lot. This is taken immediately after we crossed the road from his parking lot today.

    Good news!

There was a press conference this past Friday at the comfort inn in Tremblant to announce the openning of a new trail that will link St Faustin to Tremblant re establishing the the route from St Agathe to Tremblant lost by the closure of the Petit Train de Nord a number of years ago. Here is a link to the announcement roughly translated on the Diable et Rouge club FB page. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1085133484930832&id=115355755241948

  9. Hi Everyone, Great Website. We are a snowmobile rental and tour company situated in Baie-Saint-Paul, Qc, Charlevoix. Some say this is the nicest region of Quebec. We are very passionate about trail and back-country riding. Our team is very skilled and knows all about trails, conditions, services etc.. We can even help you out with repairs or emergencies, recoveries etc.. (The goal of this post is not to sell tours or rentals by the way) So don't hesitate to give or a call or write us an email if you have any questions about the area! Conditions update for Charlevoix: 12/03/16 - A large snow storm as left a lot of fresh snow last week. Trails are in great shape and well maintained. Weather is mild and warm but wont affect too much conditions. Should be good for another 3 weeks. Even then, it is possible to snowmobile on the Provincial Trail #3 in Charlevoix very late in the season since it's all altitude and sheltered parts in micro climates, allowing riding in April! You can call us anytime at -418 760 8565 -drop us a line at info@aventure-laurentienne.com - visit our wesite at www.aventure-laurentienne.com - visit our FB page: https://www.facebook.com/Aventure-Laurentienne-526196507393581/ Phil B Owner and passionate rider

  13. Surgery complete, she's been revived and she's real tight! As tight as they can get, she's even got sass too. Just a simple twitch and she's at 10Gs on the rpm, pinch me please. Brap brap...... Need a new battery to turn that tight witch over then she'll be out for a test run.

  14. I can tell you that Reggie and Nancy were outstanding hosts at the Drakkar and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. Besides the heated garage if needed they also fixed the gate so security is excellent, painted and updated the rooms and there is a continental breakfast which would be plenty by itself however they always make a few hot items as well like eggs sausage and potatoes etc. very very nice touch ! See you in February ❄️

We got out for a quick 100 run and lunch before heading back to NY and everything was groomed to perfection! We had the trails to ourselves for the first 50 miles. On the way back still perfect except for about 1 mile of trail 3. It was a great way to end the weekend

  16. Here's a map showing the two spots you will want to see after you leave the Rabaska Lodge in the Devils Mountain area Waypoint #1. Chutes Du Windigo which is the water falls Waypoint #2 Top of Devils Mountain with the lookout. There is a Resturaunt at the top. It's not always open, depends on the weather. Both spots are close together, good signage once you turn off 322

  18. There is a diner 'down the hill' from that hotel. Can either access by road or the back way by trail to a side street. Don't recall the name, but their food was good and are open for breakfast at something like 6:30.

  19. Good choice staying at Rabaska, food is good and owners are very nice and accommodating. It's more rustic than Auberge Lac Taureau, but still a good place to stay. When are you leaving? As of today the trail across the Baskatong Reservoir is not open. You can still do what you planned you just need to take local trails down to 13. Rabaska to Val d'Or will be a long day. It's been years since I did it but I only recall one gas stop through the park so do some research on this before you leave. I ride out of Mont Laurier a lot, so I know that area, let me know if you any specific questions about that area.

  20. You take 360 eastbound towards the 355 - than the 73 all the way to St-Raymond. It is a short day but you can go from Mattawin to lake Edouard on the 355 - stop for lunch/fuel and come down towards the 73 on local trail LT2 (nice trail) towards Rivière-à-Pierre and St-Raymond!

    Trail Conditions

Leaving for home tomorrow from the Delta, conditions here are excellent even with the warm weather. 800mi. in 41/2 days hit maybe 1/4mi of bumps the whole trip. Ran into some old friends and made some new ones, each and everyone an experienced Quebec Rider. Got to go on the maiden run today with Bill after his mishap. He said he felt fine and the way he was riding I would say he wasn't fibbing. BTW if you ever need a muffler spring removed or installed call MrGutz he can do that with the precision of a brain surgeon, amazing.

  31. Day 8: Friday Jan 20th Pulled out of the Roquemont in Saint Raymond at 6:00am with a temp of 26*F. The plan was to get in a full days sled ride but still be at the truck by early afternoon & hit the black trail towards home. This weekend is the "free weekend" and I for one plan to sit it out. Busy trails are not my thing. Took 73N and ran the railroad bed towards La Tuque up to Riviere-a-Pierre then continued 73 up thru Zec Batiscan & Reserve de Portneuf. Trails were perfect. Fast, smooth with some fresh on top. I haven't been up this section of 73 in many years & forgot how beautiful it is. After about 50 miles we backtracked down to Saint-Raymond & got gas. Continued 73S, 3W, 302N, 23W, M4, LT to truck. Loaded up & started for home at 2:45pm. Was a great trip with fantastic trail conditions thruout our travels! No reason for anyone to hesitate heading up for a ride. 234 miles for the day 2165 miles for the trip
